I hate that all car companies are ending sedans. I just bought a 2024 Infiniti Q50 Sport 400 and Infinti just announced that this was the last year for the Q50 and now they no longer make sedans. Not all of us want SUVs!!!! I understand discontinueing if there are plans to transform current sedan models to hybrids or electric but makes no sense to make all cars SUVs! Come on car companies, give us some options and stop following each other.

It boggles my mind why there is no RDX Type S still!

We are in the "Get them while you can" part of the transition.

Glad I got my 2025 a week ago!!! Car is awesome!!! I tried getting a 2024 in June, but nothing was available. Had to wait until now to get a 2025. The plant is only scheduled to build 30 TLX a month with all the changes going on @ the plant.

I don't know why people obsess over the non-touch screen. Once you get used to it, I think it's superior. It's far easier to use in a real world situation while driving: It requires less driver attention because you can have muscle memory for many functions, it "keeps state" if you get interrupted, you don't have phantom input if you hit a bump while using it, you don't get fingerprints on your screen. I understand if it's not your vehicle how it is awkward at first ( I particularly don't like how the scroll buttons are reversed from the way I think of scroll buttons ), but once you understand it, it's smooth.
( I do get it though that you can't fight world wide trends... if everyone wants a touch screen they should probably just do it )

A key sign of a brand in trouble is when they demonstrate they can’t compete with their competitors within the market in which they sell their vehicles and have to switch to an “all-this” sales strategy like Infiniti & Lincoln.

When it was the TL, it was one of the best selling luxury sport sedans in its segment for many years.

Lexus, BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz…they all still seem to do very well with making a large selection of SUVs placed at every conceivable price point and size, as well as multiple sedans and coupes that do well, too.

First the Vigor, Legend, CL, TL, RL, TSX, ILX, RSX, RLX, NSX… not everyone wants a SUV.

Big mistake. 1st, its an underrated car and what else are they going ot sell? integra only car? BMW sells 6 base sedans, Mercdes 7 sedans including the e class wagon. Lexus even sells 3 sedans.

They should have just updated the RLX sport hybrid engine for the type s and introduce a plug-in hybrid version. There is nothing hybrid sedans in the market. This would have really made the TLX stand out.

Not going to lie broke my heart to hear they might be killing off the TLX. That’s my favorite car in the line up.. and by far the best looking car ever !!

They made the mistake of making a FWD car with a RWD cars proportions. It’s larger than a Civic but has less rear legroom. This could’ve maybe been forgiven if it was a RWD platform but it isn’t.

I really love this car, and I'd almost consider buying one, but it is a tough proposition. Expensive, heavy, not as fast as competitors, and not as spacious as even a Civic. Great car, but it's up against a lot of other great options.

I've been a car enthusiast all my life and I purchased a slightly used '21 TLX Type-S a year ago and absolutely love it. It has plenty of power for any sort of driving on our public roads. It handles wonderfully and 95% of the time I don't need a bigger back seat. I also don't see myself coming or going, so I enjoy the exclusivity. I wonder how many people commenting have actually driven and lived with one of these gorgeous cars or are just writing out of ignorance? Yes, I wish Acura didn't have the production issues and it's unfortunate that they seem to be letting this model slip away. It is the most powerful sport sedan Acura has ever made and the nice thing about it, the thing is so stinking reliable and easily serviceable (check out Scotty Kilmer's video), and more than likely will achieve a much lower TCO than its German competitors, that I hope I can keep it for many, many years to come.

I have a 2023 TLX Tech. Love it and had it for a year now. Didn’t cancel it just keep it in production. Not everybody wants or needs an SUV.

I have been trying to buy a Type S for 6 months. Absolutely no inventory, or cars showing in inventory are already sold. I was finally able to get my dealer to confirm they had one on order for me. The whole process has been going on since April.

The issue I think is trying to field a FWD based platform in this segment as a performance sedan. Lexus can get away with the ES because there is no pretense to athleticism as it is just a big boulevardier for golfing retirees like the old Caddy XTS or Buick Lacrosse. Had Acura followed Genesis and developed a RWD based platform I believed it would have had a much better following with the brand recognition Acura had vs Genesis.

Kirk, The cramped rear seat really detracts from the TLX's appeal. 🤨 For the record, Canadians built the Acura CSX and EL. 😁

Been an Acura driver for 25+ years. Their choice to completely ignore Hybrid & PHEV tech cost them huge market share. Still love my modded, mint 2013 TL 3.7L SHawd and never considered TLX as a viable upgrade.

I love the look of the current TLX but it just doesn't seem to exploit what Acura could do.. How about a performance hybrid and a cabin bigger than a Civic inside. Another reader mentioned putting in the RLX Hybrid powertrain. That's a great idea. Performance combined with more efficiency.
