How to Factory Reset the ATEM Mini

Sometimes your ATEM Mini acts up. One of the easiest things to do to get it back working is to do a factory reset.

I'm new to Atem switchers and a little confused about the updates, when at the black magic site and go to downloads after picking your atem from the list, is the top update for your model or do you have to scroll down the updates to find the one with your model listed? I have the Atem mini pro iso but the only update for that says its 8.6.1 but every video I watch shows people just clicking on the top update, I'm really confused about this, can you shed some light please!

After performing the reset function on my ATEM Mini Pro ISO I am still not able to use the (4) Camera Channels nor the CUT, AUTO, and controls on the ATEM. I can make the changes or transition on the Mac but still not on the ATEM machine. Thanks

Do you think this will work for a ministry that I regularly help out. Their old computer went out a few weeks ago and I helped them find a new one; since then the Atem mini isn’t picking up the cameras on any of the computers in their media space. I think a power issue may have occurred but everything powers on now, we just can’t get the atem to pick up the cameras.

when doing this reset shouldn't any stills in the media player and any record settings or stream keys get erased? I did this reset and it seems like my input names, my photos in media player, and the name of my recording files are still there. how do I wipe to totally clean slate?

On my mini pro, the usb-c isn’t working. It was used for recording the service but quit. I want to factory reset as nothing else has fixed my problem, but I can’t connect the switcher to my computer by usb. Is there a way to do the factory update only connecting through the network?

I’m having issues streaming with my ATEM Mini Pro ISO. The cache is getting full at 3 mb streaming output. And my upload internet speed is 90mb. Hopefully a reset will fix my problem. Saving this video for reference later.

My ATEM Mini ISO is connected to my Mac over USB; no network connection. I have signal (so I know the cable works) but switching doesn't work. I started it up following your instructions and opened the setup program, but the Mac no longer sees it. Tried it on another Mac, too. Any suggestions?

My atem is not connecting to streaming, I already reset it but every time I want to stream the live light blinks and it never finishes connecting

super the video, with the 8.10 software for me the update tells me that it is successful but when I open the atem setup software it tells me 8.6.3, suddenly I cannot solve my problem of display of the hdmi output if anyone has the solution thank you very much ??? sniff sniff

The #1 thing, that I discovered only after hours of fiddling about, switching cables and hair pulling - that this host and none of the other ATEM experts has mentioned?

*Make sure you are NOT connecting through a USB hub.*

The ATEM is picky and won't connect through even excellent quality USB-C hubs like Anker.

*Make sure you are plugged in directly to a USB-C port on your computer.*

BMD seriously messed up with this very constant HDMI output issues on the Atem mini series. Its a wreck!! Quite a number of Atem mini pro's & Atem mini extreme's all developing the same HDMI output issues. The extreme iso's media pool is even still populated with content after this reset procedure. I honestly don't get it with BMD.
