I had a guitar teacher once, he kept playing every time I spoke, everything he went through I already knew when I did get a chance to speak. However, I think Simply Guitar has helped a lot.

I’m also self taught, I’ve been playing on and off for about 12 years, i played in a metal band for 3 years, I put the guitar down for a while and I started playing again a few months ago and this time I decided to start learning chords and pentatonic scales and I feel like such a noob 😂😂😂 it feels great though I feel like there was so much I was missing out on

Real talk, when I was in my early twenties starting a band with some Air Force guys who also played (self taught with no music theory just incredible ears) it was difficult trying to communicate key changes and such when they didn’t know chord names at all.

I been learning on my own for about 4 yrs now and never had a single lesson and this is why! I learned with none of that lingo. But at same time there’s so much to learn..just need right teacher

Nice playing. You know even if you don't NEED the lessons, it can still be nice and beneficial to have someone to go and jam with. That's what a lot of my later lessons ended up being.
