"Loneliness does not come from having no one around one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible."

I relate to this quote so much.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are”. Now, that’s a quote!

"Don't hold on to someone who's leaving, otherwise you won't meet the one who's coming"- Really important lesson I wish I knew when I was younger. It's not even necessarily about love. There are so many people in my life I never gave a chance because I was too caught up in the people I thought were vital to me.

"If an attractive women is single, it's because she's smarter than everyone else." And here I thought something was wrong with me. Cheers.

I needed this today. I recently turned 40 and my life really has just begun, I was such a noob until now... I adore Jung and his beautiful mind.

"Thinking is difficult, that's why most people judge."
"Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic is alcohol, morphine or idealism."
"We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses."

These help explain an entire ideology.

Where your fear is, there is your task

Simple but too inspirational

Oh man, how I hated philosophy back in college... 10 years later, I'm just loving every bit of it. Crazy how a man's life can change to a point where he enjoys reading, talking and listening about what he once despised with a passion. I guess wisdom truly comes with age.

“Children learn by an adults example, not by their words”

Well that one line can help fix the “parenting” crisis we are going through.

"You are not what happened to you, you are what you choose to become." Is something parents should be teaching their kids at a young age. People will have to endure hard times, but what you decide to do with your time is what matters.

"Man can endure the hardest of trials if he sees meaning in them. The whole difficulty lies in creating that meaning"....I came to this realisation only recently (not that I had ever heard the quote prior to now) This quote in particular has helped me to endure a lot of b.s. in my work life...

"Don't hold on to someone who's leaving, otherwise you won't meet the one who's coming" I will tell this to my sister who is still trying to bring back her husband who left her and the kids a year ago. She is not filing for divorce hoping he comes back and she says that she wants him for the sake of kids, but i feel like she has trouble letting go. The end of a relationship is a bitch.

I had to sit through over 8 minutes (not that I didn't enjoy it) to find out why I am single - that was not what I was expecting, but, thank you, nice to know.
