ENT Manifestations of Migraine 22: Ear Fullness Associated With Headache Improved By SPG Block

This young woman has chronic ear fullness that intensifies during migraine headaches. Her ear exam and audiometry are normal and she has not found an effective migraine medication to abort her headaches. A non-invasive sphenopalatine block performed in the office was effective in immediately reducing both her headache and her ear fullness, confirming the association of the two symptoms. She will be treated with medication for prophylaxis of migraine.
