I love you two. You make me laugh. You are getting a lot done this winter. Today is March 18th and we are having a snow storm with 60mph wind. And a blizzard. I’m so sick of winter. Take care, stay safe and love to both of you.

Nothing makes a house into a “home” faster than a chair on the front porch. Totally get it Deivids! 😂 Survey all that you have done from your lofty height and be proud guys!. 😊

My Dogs loved sleeping under the porch on a hot summers day. 🐕

You do things a way that makes the whole process way easier.

Those cement blocks would be perfect around the goats house, especially when its flooding.

I like the way you build to suit yourself and then learn as you go along. This way you find out what works for you and in your environment and with the available materials. Time will tell what holds up and what needs to be rebuilt. Good stuff.

It does cover the nice stone foundation but it’s functional to have a porch, especially now for spring you won’r carry mud inside. It’ll look beaufiful when finished! Maybe it needs 1-2 steps, both for Millie and yourselves☺️

What a nice finishing touch to the front of your house !!
With a new, higher roof - it will look amazing ❤

Use the concrete pavers for steps. They will never rot amd they are a perfect size! ✅🌳🌻
Never buy new when you can adapt and reuse existing materials 💚
Use the paving slabs for stairs into your office extension, too 😊

I liked that rock. It wasn't an eyesore. You use what you have until the time is right. It is going to look great.

I love your deck, and covered you will love that. Maybe use the rectangle stones as a step, or a place to grilling food.

Those stepping stones you removed are really decent for a lot of projects. Porch is a great addition to your home.

I have built several porches as well as decks, you are going to want to make your joist/beam spacing 40cm or 16 inches on center otherwise you will have a lot of deflection on your porch decking. You may also want to consider digging proper footings for your support posts. If you anchor your fascia board to the mud room foundation and use 6x6inch posts you can probably get away with just 2 footers on the far end with metal fasteners and 12” or 30cm sono tube
