Must be getting some super straight 2x10 to plug in like that. No planing required 🤔

Caissons look awesome though.

Does your local code not require joist hangers or hurricane ties or joist hangers to attach outside rim joist? Just Curious! We are required to in the STL area!

Pourquoi aux USA les maisons sont si grandes? Ou peu cheres?

what’s the total cost for a deck that size ?

I’d like to see the inspection of the deck with code enforcement from the municipality. Do they ever say you did anything wrong or do they just sign off on it.

I'll never in my life figure out why people build decks and attach too the home. You can make it a stand alone and don't have to worry about intrusion. The only way this method should be considered is two story deck builds.

No flashing on ledger either. Mind your p and q my man. You have some 3 foot cantilevers too. You do you but those are the kind of decks I replace 5 years after install.

Ive seen a lot of ppl lay these 2x6s (or are they 2x8s?) on their side like this. Is this the proper way or is it overkill?

When each state has different codes that's why decks fail
