These videos are super helpful. One thing I'd suggest is adding timestamps in the description with a brief topic description/label.

MISLEADING TITLE. Question in title not answered until 10:20 mins in and not answered to my satisfaction.

GMBN know their stuff, all skilled riders with good sound advice. Tjey helped me service my 2013 pivot phoenix through the videos. Also doddy is one of my favorite riders so that helps

I like how everyone keeps saying "... it's 1 of the most important parts of a bike" or "... is a safety item"
I mean if you think about it, other than your gears and dropper post pretty much everything is super important and is there for your safety. Like I said, if anything other than your gears or dropper/saddle breaks you're in for a really bad day. Hell even those can give you nasty crashes if let's say your derailleur gets pulled in your spokes.

Hey Doddy, Awesome show as always, loved the vid on Sam Hill's bike by the way. I am currently creating a MTB mag for a school project and would love to get an interview in, do you have any tips on how to contact the pro riders, or would you be able to answer a couple questions in the next episode, if not don't worry. Thanks. -Flyn

#askgmbntech loving the show doddy, keep it up.. I have a 2017 Norco fluid 7.3 with 120mm travel front and back.. I have already upgraded the full groupset to XT and upgraded the wheels to some sweet hope rims and hubs.. My questing is regarding the forks, what do you think about upgrading these to greater travel?

Wondering if you could help or give me a bit of advice.

I have a 2021 giant Talon E Bike, and everything works great until I go off road.

Every time I go off road and I am going downhill, and I hit a small bump my chain come off at the front all the time.

Its fine going uphill and on flat, only happens downhill when I hit a bump, even when I stand up and let bike go downhill, I hit a small bump and the chain comes off

Steerer tube creaking inside crown use loctite 290 wicking grade. It seeps into the crack and uses capilary action and then seals. I used it for the part where the stantions go to the crown last week and now my bike is dead silent.

#askgmbntech you mentioned in last video about chain guides could you recommend a cheap one because they seem like they can be quite expensive

about that 29 vs 27.5 dilemma, there is a point where this 29er better rolling ability is a disadvantage in fact, i find it almost impossible to keep the speed low on some extreme downhill wall like sections, whereas with smaller wheels it will bite better into some holes and let you keep speed lower. other than that 29er is a killer ;-)

#ASKGMBNTECH Front suspension Question. Hey Doddy. All the way from South Africa. Hope you can give me some advice. I got a brand new Trek Top Fuel 7. It has a Rocksox Reba Silver Boost with a 32mm stantion if I am correct. I wanted to fit my current fork which is a Forma Selva. This is an awesome fork and has 35mm stantion. The Formula is unfortunately non boost. I want to know if I should keep riding the new Reba Silver, or rebuild the front wheel to non boost and make use of the Formula Selva. Does the boost really give that much benefits. Rudi Raats

I have gotten advice that Voodoo Bizango, polygon cozmic & syncline, mongoose Tayx comp series are not suitable for competitive & equivalent trail use cuz of their geometry (R&D), how true is this & what’s your take Dodi?

Worst feeling is scraping your elbow/arm or hands/knuckles on the sidewalk like why I'm here in the first place.

Hi doddy. I'm a big fan of GMBN. Always watcing your maintainance videos and etc.
My question is can I use rubber mastic tape in sealing/vulcanizing inner tubes?
Another question is what can I use as an alternative to Scotts shop towel. Hope that you pick my question. It will help me a lot. Thanks! Cheers to your show. More videos to come!

8:07 could be crack in carbon bars,
as mentioned in the video it could be loose stem bolts, could be play in fork crown & steerer, or stanchions. and of course crown race.
it creeks when turning or riding hard it's most likely the crown & steerer, or stanchions.
also check the wheels, it might be the spokes rubbing, could be spoke nipples too.
so good idea to listen up loser, eliminate one by one.
