Loved the no nonsense description of how to deal issues regarding bike chains. Simple to understand and the close up graphics show exactly how to carry out repairs. Thank You!

Small tip to always have a master link on you: they've usually got convenient holes in them a keyring fits through, so take the ones from your old chain, when you are replacing it anyway, and put the two pieces around your keyring. If you ride with a lock, put it around the keyring for your bike lock, if you don't, use the keyring with your house keys you take on your ride anyway. In my experience (only 2x luckily) a broken chain tends to snap on the master link anyway, so that's your fix done. Still carry a chain rivet tool though. The holes in the master links might wear out a little bit on your keyring, but it's a temporary fix anyway.

Step one, call wife Uber. Step two install a new chain. Step three eat some junkfood and watch the baseball game.

Thanks, this was helpful. Park Tools are really well made! However, I have never had a chain brake or be damaged so much I can't use it in decades of riding. Only once, and it was my own fault not installing it right. Chains are really strong!

Thankyou so much, no other video explained that you could use the back brake and put pressure on the pedal trick. I spent hours trying different tools and it would have taken me less than two minutes if i saw this first.

I really have to say, Thank You! I just happened to choose a random video (your video) to show my 7yo. daughter how to do her own search & learn to fix new things by herself. She loves the bikes/dirt bikes etc., so I thought, this video will do, & do it did! Now myself, I'm a fix it all kinda guy, so I already know how to do all that... (No, I do not know everything, AT ALL! No one does! That just sounded bad! lol I get paid to figure out & fix pretty much anything & everything that's thrown at me...) Sorry, I digress, back to my original point... Well done, great video! It was shot very well, well thought out, to the point, clean/clear, easy to follow! You went over things that I definitely would have forgotten to teach her! So, Again, Thank You & God Bless! Safe & Happy Riding!

Great video! I've never broken a chain while riding. I've done like 3500 km in total so far in my life. I carry spares, pump and some other bits but I don't usually carry a chain tool.

I just snapped my Sraam XX1 chain on a slope and didn't have any of these tools on me😭
Guess I'll be carrying a set of them as an additional to my tool kits now
