The Bears winning 13 games with Jim Miller and Shane Matthews and then 13 more in 2006 with Rex Grossman deserves a 30 for 30.

As a Bears fan, I will never forget watching Mike Brown's AMAZING back-to-back game-winning overtime pick sixes!! Incredible!! 🐻⬇

I attended this game, and was about to leave at the 2 minute warning. I asked the friend I had taken to the game if he wanted to leave early. He said let’s stay. Wise choice

That was probably the most perfect onside kick I’ve ever seen.

This was an odd 3 o’clock home game on channel 2. I will never forget this game. For some reason, I was watching this game with my mother upstairs at her house. That’s a place. I normally don’t watch football. But when James Allen caught that Hail Mary, I remember us hugging and jumping up and down in the front room. Then when Mike Brown caught that pick six, it was just amazing. Re-Watching this game I was actually reminiscing about that moment, and kind of getting sad, Sports really bring families together.

2001 Bears is one of the most random good teams I ever seen. So in 2001 the Bears went 13-3 and had a first round bye in the playoffs. They had the number 1 defense.

However, this season was bookended by being 5-11 in 2000 (with the 20th ranked defense) and 4-12 in 2002 (with the 25th ranked defense).

Man, Mike Brown was a hero back then. He saved the bears in back to back games

The Bears are trailing by 14 points with 1:52 remaining in the game, with a 0.3% win probability and somehow come away with the victory! 🏈 I have fond memories of watching this game back in 2001. BTW: Excellent production and editing of this video!⭐

Anytime the Bears are behind and it looks like it they have no chance of winning, I will always say they need a 2001 miracle.

I was at this game with my Dad, I was 12. A good chunk of people had left by the 4th quarter. The comeback was absolute madness!

This entire season was something out of a movie. It was like Angels In The Outfield type stuff.

Mike Brown channeled his inner Deion sanders in overtime over those 2 games

2001 was the first Bears full season I watched as a kid. I was 9 years old. Been a fan ever since. So many great games that season. Watching this was very nostalgic. Bear Down.

The looks on Tim's face at 10:03 really sums this whole game up for the Browns.

The 2001 and 2005 Bears both had the best scoring defense in the league. They gave up a total of 203 points in ‘01 and 202 points in ‘05. The 2001 version relied on the best run defense in the league but the 2005 defense was most efficient at stopping the pass making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. Chicago surrendered 10 touchdowns threw the air and picked off 24 passes in 2005. They were extremely stingy when it counted most (except in the playoffs) both years. In 2005 the Bears gave up a league low 13 red zone touchdowns on 40 opportunities while they allowed only 15 such touchdowns on a league low 34 chances in 2001. Both defenses were murder on 4th down as they allowed just four successful 4th down attempts in 17 tries in ‘01 and then gave up six 4th down conversions in 20 attempts in ‘05. Both teams earned a first round bye as the second seed in the NFC. If you ignore the final game of the 2005 season in which Chicago rested it’s starters then both teams went on to give up more points in a divisional round defeat than they had during the entire regular season. Both teams had bad quarterbacks, obviously.
