$40k for S550 Mercedes / $51k AUD - Cheapest 2014 S Class is an S350 6cyl diesel for $105k
Fisker? nope, nothing in this country
$16k Porche Cayman S / $21k AUD - Cheapest is from 2006 at $45-50k
$18k Merc CL550 / $23.3k AUD - No CL5* under $40k unless it's the older uglier design
$47k Lotus Exige S / $60.8k AUD - 2007 for $33k atm, most are mid 50's.. ok cool, first one that's cheaper here, but I also see one every couple months so not -that- rare
$25k Bentley Arnage / $32.2k AUD - Cheapest is $70k and there's even a 2002 that's still $130k

The other 3 come close enough to the US figures but damn, screw you Australian car industry

Remember that just because you can buy a car doesn’t mean you can afford it. A $40, 000 V8 Vantage is $40, 000 for a reason and it’s because the car will cost several hundred, if not, thousand, per year to maintain.

My vote for cheap car is a c5 z06 . 15 to 20k gets you a nice one. Lots of old men own them and rarely drive them which means finding one in good shape is easy. Car runs 12.4 to 12.6. It's an expensive to keep up and handles great for that price bracket. Not the car you want to get if you care about nice Interiors or modern image.
