It’s not the first time you can get a Corolla AWD. Back in the 80s, Toyota released the Corolla All-Trac.

Great job guys. I didn’t take this as a slight against Subaru at all. As all of us in snow states know, Subaru is the mainstream standard for awd. Unfortunately, not all of us have 1) a Subaru dealer we want to deal with or 2) we’re weary of the decline in build quality ( justified or not) or 3) we’ve driven Subarus for years and really would like to see what else may be out there. Personally, I’d like a Maverick but dealers around me are still playing the over MSRP game.

I leased the 2021 Honda CR-V AWD and no issues in the Ohio's winter weather. It drives great with their own AWD system.

Loving my AWD Toyota Camry SE. Haven’t even put snow tires on in Western PA. Drive on a partially dirt road on the way to work and runs like a champ

I'd take the Eclipse Cross all day everyday, S-AWC plus the torquey 1.5T is a good combo, plus literally one of the easiest/reliable modern cars on the market today, my mechanic was so impressed at how easy and simple things are.

This is helpful, thanks. Subaru has the worst paint I've ever experienced on a modern car. If you breath on it, the paint chips. As always, Tommy, Go Buffs! Going to be a good year for us.

Respectfully, when I think cheap cars I think between $7000-$13000. I would really appreciate a list that reflects this price range (as a broke college student who lives in a very snowy mountainous region). If you look up "cars under 5k-8k" in the search there is hundreds of videos, if you could also do a list like that for AWD cars I would be eternally grateful.

My biggest problem with Mitsubishi is their lack if dealerships / service centers.

I do like the Seltos with its Gibson Gold Top color.

Making a regular car AWD by using an electric motor in the back is genius. Toyota nailed the Corolla EAWD.

I like the "just a lifted hatchback" cars. I don't need tons of ground clearance but not having the seat on the ground is great. lol I currently have a 2018 Frontier that I have yet to come close to using to full potential. Sure would like something that gets better mileage but still has AWD. Thanks for the overview.

I am a Subie fan living in the PNW but those Corollas look interesting

You guys should do some digging on the Kia/Hyundai engine failure rate. I bet it's close to 20-30%.

Sensible options analysis for someone under 40 who's NOT looking to hamstring themselves to a large loan by buying new: 2012-13 Subaru Legacy 3.6, 2012-13 Infiniti G37x / EX35 / FX37, 2012-14 Acura TL, 2014-16 Acura RDX, 2010-2013 Lexus anything. You're welcome, and I didn't need a 10+ min video to get 'er done.

The Mazda sounds good to me. I just don't care for a lot of the newer safety features. My son has a Suburu that is loaded with them, and he turned most of them off.

I'll stick with my 2022 Subaru Legacy. Love it. 35 mpg hwy, AWD and Eyesight. It's also comfortable.

I would buy the Toyota Cross and Mazda CX30.

Even if the Hyundai, KIA, Honda or Mitsubishi were half the price, I wouldn’t touch it. Reliability should be the priority not pricing when it comes to complex AWD.

The HRV need an aggressive model!
With a 6 speed manual!

Ok. Just hear me out here. What You flew down to Mexico 🇲🇽 bought a loaded 2023 Jimney and brought it back?
Good off road beast, affordable, and not terrible interior.
