Cool video. I know the Exploder was popular back in the day ( I was there lol ). But it really was the Jeep Cherokee xj that brought SUVs in to the main stream in my opinion. Also, the Buick block used in many of the Land Rover products is actually a really decent base motor. While I might be mistaken the BMW v8 used in the Range Rover mid 2000 and early 2010 models were actually worse. And yes the electronics are absolute crap. I have a 2002 D2 and after sorting out the electronic issues it with the old Buick block has been an absolutely reliable SUV. Lastly, in recent year JLR’s new motors have been really reliable.

I agree I had a range rover sport 2008 model, I used 30, 000$ plus to fix it in the span of 5 years with it .

My family has had 3 Range Rover Sports and 2 discovery’s they were very reliable one of the sports even had 300, 000 miles with the only major problem being the alternator

The Aztek is salvageable if you get a later model with no cladding, GT trim with darkened headlights, gotta be black to smooth out all those unnecessary nostril vents, and lower it. I’ve seen a few an eh, they ain’t that bad. Cheap ride.

Dad had a sister ship Rendezvous and it was a nice rig for the snow. So despite the trend-hate, it could be worse. It could be a Fiat Multipla. Oof, those are really bad.
