After owning Land Rover products since the early 90’s i finally give up. You buy a $100K+ Range Rover and a few years later you are left with a beautiful piece of junk which fails every month and LandRoverJaguar dealerships don’t want to or don’t know how to repair.

Hi from and drive 3 Lexus GX 460, 2021 BMW X3 2.0L Turbo, 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The Lexus and Toyota are both built in Japan and the build quality is really good and no issues so far with all 3 vehicles. My neighbor across the street bought a lease return 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV and two months later I see it has a for sale sign they trying to get rid of it. Good upload. 👍👍

70% of mercedes are a leasing. There's a reason for that.

Given the reputation of Land Rover in the US I’m amazed they have a business here 😂

Living in Switzerland, having tons of Audis, Landrovers and VWs on the streets I know, how much people complain about those money-pits. They all seem to have troubles after the warranty, exactly like you say. I never understood, how somebody can buy one of these cars, just because they look great and have - if you like to race, what is possible on the Autobahn close to here - a powerfull engine. They‘re expensive, generate troubles and VW and Audi let the customer pay for their (planned) mistakes. I don‘t touch these cars, I own a Lexus and am save since 165000 km‘s now, not one problem. And I don‘t give a damn if my Lexus is not as good looking like an Audi.

I work at a Toyota dealership. We often take these vehicles on trade but we rarely sell them on our used car lot. Most are sold at online auctions. We simply don’t need the hassles that come with the reliability or durability issues.

As an English man I am always embarrassed that Land Rover are continually at the bottom on reliability, you would have thought by now LR would have got the message but sadly it seems not.I have low mileage 23, 500 miles 2016 discovery D4 and I can confirm the poor reliability although I managed to get to a garage each time it played. However when it works ok it's a lovely vehicle to own and drive.

I still drive 2002 Jeep Liberty. A/C only works for 15 min and stops. Changed the radiator, brakes, tires. Got lifetime oil changes!

Your videos lately have been perfectly timed and right on topic for me! I’m trying to find a reliable SUV for my family of five that is reasonable on gas as my daily commuter. I’ve referenced your great videos many times! Thanks!

I am the owner of XC90 2012 and 2018. The newest car has engineering issues - air resistance creates mud on the rear window, I have a D5 PuwerPulse engine and it has 2x burst high pressure pipe. Last time I changed it for my own money. The car's gas pedal broke(!), both headlights cracked from the detergent (so they say). All of these were replaced under warranty except for the last PwP tube. Chromium oxidation was not considered a guarantee. Strange door closing sound, wear and tear of plastic, glossy parts. The poor sound insulation in the arches should be highlighted. 7/10

As a current owner of ‘99 Wrangler, I can personally attest to the nightmare this vehicle (it’s not an suv or car) presents. However, for the few moments this thing is running, it is THE greatest thing ever!!!
Anyone who’s driven one on a beautiful day with the doors and roof off will know what I’m talking about!

Reliability is one thing and safety and fun to drive is another.
I drive a 2014 Volvo XC60 and have only spent money on general maintenance that are sometimes cheaper than my wife's 2016 highlander.
For a night out or long drives, everyone wants to take my Volvo.

My wrangler has been very reliable and fun to drive with the 3.6L v6 Pentastar engine and the 6 speed Asin manual transmission,

Outside of the wrangler, I think this list is pretty spot on. I hate Jeeps personally, but the wrangler holds its value well and they last forever with normal maintenance. The Grand Cherokee should be #4 in my opinion.

I haven't watched this video yet but I betcha something with the GM Ecotec 1.4L will be shown. That's why I'm crazy good about maintenance and prepared to replace my turbocharger myself.

I bought a Toyota Fortuner with 95k kms mileage and now its 120k. The service cost is super affordable and I know I can cross continents with it. That's something every manufacturer should learn from Toyota.

Wrangler isn’t technically an suv? Isn’t that the perfect definition, a body on frame?
