I used to work for Land Rover Jaguar. People would be shocked at how many lemons they sell. It’s a pretty big percentage & your chances are high you’ll be driving a replacement vehicle for months out of every year of your lease. It was rare for there not to be at least one lemon in every shipment. I know that sounds absurd but it’s true. They learned from VW how to keep it under wraps and keep their valuable customers happy.

I've been driving Japan made Toyota 4runners, and they are bullet-proof. Driving a 2022 4runner, I love it for its total reliability and build quality. Buy one now before the 2024 design change. I recommend you all do the same. I never had a single mechanical problem with any of them over the years.

I guess the moral of thus story is - stick with the Japanese brands.

I own a 2021 Kia Seltos SX turbo and currently have 24k trouble free miles on it. Went from Chicago IL to Walt Disney World in Orlando FL and back with 0 issues or concerns. Had to deal with 4 SEVERE rain storms on the way to WDW and my Seltos SX handled the 65 miles per hour winds and rain with 0 issues. I know my experience is an individual one but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Seltos SX turbo to anyone right now!

Thank you. I actually agree with many of these based on either experience or discussions with my mechanic, and I'm surprised by none.

A very well-off salesman friend of mine bought a beautiful, brand new, Range Rover. He owned it two months. After numerous electrical issues, and I do mean numerous, to the point where his brand new 70 grand Range Rover refused to start; after he got it started. He drove it right down to the Toyota dealer, took a massive loss on it and brought a brand-new Toyota Four Runner. He has been ecstatic about the Toyota ever since because he never has to think about it starting or running properly.

I drive a dinosaur’23 4Runner. 5-speed, no auto start stop, no cylinder deactivation, naturally aspirated, it has 2 things that it did really well: a bulletproof transmission and engine. Yes, the frame rusts if you don’t coat it, the brakes suck (so I’ll switch rotors and calipers at around 90k miles), but those are east things that can be replaced. The water pump I expect will break, not worried.

I drove Mini for 18 Years and have to say I liked that car and had no major problems. I purchased Bronco few months ago and vehicle runs great.

Before I buy an Encore, I'll buy an AWD Kona 1.6L turbo. Am also in love with the 2010 Ford Escape Limited with navigation package. Makes me happy to drive it. There's something special about them.

Why are Americans so negative about Hyundai and Kia? In Europe these brands are considered top quality. Are the US-specs different, like bigger engines?

I have a friend with an Encore. She and her husband hate it. every 3 years or so, the turbo goes out and since it's integrated to the exhaust manifold, ir's like a $2000 repair bill. Funny thing is, she also another entrant on your list, a new Bronco. Her husband was planning on getting a Bronco Raptor, too, but cancelled the order after delivery of their first one was so poorly handled.

Also piqued my interest seeing Mini on the list. I had a Cooper S. It was fun for 2-3 years, then started leaking everything but gas, LSD never worked right, and engine blew at around 80, 000 mi. Seems to have been the fate of most of the supercharged ones. The little Eaton they used was said to have "lifetime lubrication" which as turns out was about 80, 000-90, 000 miles for many owners. And changing the oil in the S/C required taking most of the intake apart. When I bought, I thought it was be the first of several BMW cars I would own over my life. Turns out it was the first AND the last.

What do u think about Kia Xceed 2023 with the 1.5 T-GDI 160 ps petrol engine ? Is this one reliable crossover ?

Kia and Hyundai were doing so good, we had 3 of them including the 1.3 turbo which was a great engine, now Toyota cross which is fantastic and built like a tank

I had a Landrover and sold it at 95 000 miles and had no issues, it proved more reliable than the previous 2 Audis I owned.

🎯 Straight talk. Your vids may be unpopular with several car manufacturers, but to someone who was many years in Car Sales Mgmt, you are the source for truth in the Reliability Category,
I would refer your site to any neophyte in the industry. Also, it's a perfect source for info for anyone not inclined to do a lot of research before buying a car. Many reviewers have ulterior motives. I find yours to be altruistic.
Great Job!!!👏👏👏
