Smell TRAINING IS THE KEY YALL! Smh i took Garlic cloves, dish detergent, febreeze n nail polish remover and i would sniff these items through out the day- multiple times a day for 2.5 weeks and mine is back about 90-95%. “Outside” is the only thing thats still faint (grass/air/ environment) but u haveeee to find whateva u can smell and grab hold to it! Also, get a menthol stick n keep it up ur nose. Scariest thing for a foodie but it WILL come back! Prayin for everybody and the relief u will have when it returns, will B WORTH IT!

I went on a fast and prayed to God for healing in the name of Jesus. I got my taste and smell back within a week! If you would like prayer, please comment below on this post. God bless you all!

"Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, " Exodus 23:25

*UPDATE: people have contacted me directly and said the power of God healed them and restored their senses of smell and taste. Hallelujah!*

One good thing for losing the sense of smell bc of the Covid is that I've decided to eat only healthy foods such as veggie - since I don't have/feel any different tastes between healthy foods and junk foods. " When life gives you a lemon, make lemonade!"😄

Lost my taste and smell was very frustrating. Got back my smell within a few days. my taste came back fully after about a week. I smelled essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary etc i also usually have an inhaler stuck up my nostrils, just a bad habit since i suffer from sinus. Don't know if those really worked for me or it just decided to come back. Worth the try tho. Don't give up be positive and be kind to yourself. Covid is disgusting, you beat it thumbs up.🥰 Stay safe everyone.

I've been without my sense of smell and taste since November 2020. Everything tastes like water or sour. 🤷🏻

I lost both senses February 2020. They have sort-of come back ... a bit ... kind-of. For example, avocado doesn't smell or taste like anything; it's just a colored pasty substance. The same with cream cheese. You can see I'm using things good on a toasted multigrain & seed bagel. Yeah, all the subtle notes that make toasting them smell like THE morning comfort food are just not there. Initially, I unconsciously tried to fix it by slathering on more, by toasting it longer. I got crunchier and slimier. Paprika is a total waste; so are tumeric, cardamon, thyme, basil. Cayenne gives it's heat to the tongue, but is completely indistinguishable by smell. Milk has gone bad when it hits the coffee in lumps. Doesn't matter. There's only a colored textural difference between creamed and black coffee. Clean vs dirty laundry are no longer a smell thing.
I've learned to trick my brain into conjuring a hallucination of the smell and taste of black pepper. It seems, the nasal assault and sneezing triggers the memory of pepper. Similarly, minced garlic has a taste, no smell, and an effect on the tongue that sort of works, too, to trigger a memory of it. The tartness of Granny Smith and Gravenstein Apples still work, but without sweetness.
It looks as though my cookery from here out will be about the subtleties of texture, hot and sour, and never again cooking for others. :-(

I lost both senses 4 less than 24 hours! How can that be possible? It happened today. My test was fresh coffee and tiger balm. No scent and tasted like hot water.

2 months and my I regained some sense of smell in less than a month but it's still not 100% back yet. My distance of smell is still very short unless it's a very strong smell like fish. I hope to get all of it back because my sense was really good before. If u want I'll keep updates :)
