Just wanted to say Scotty, I love your videos. I rebuilt near an entire Honda Civic to brand new condition using them, with 0 experience. Ran like a top! Changed the CV axles, new gaskets in literally every spot, changed all the belts.. and you sir, helped me through every step! Sadly got rid of her, but just got an 04 Cavalier. Hopefully 4 years ago aren't easily forgotten!

My TSX was running real rough and throwing codes for misfires in cylinders 2 and 3 (also p0300) after the polar vortex up here in MN with Temps of -30 and that was before the windchill!

With the help of your videos I changed out all my spark plugs, and diagnosed a bad coil by swapping number 2 and 1. A quick drive around the block and my scan came back clean! I did everything in the AutoZone parking lot in a blizzard, but it only cost me 150 bucks and some frozen toes. Now I feel so much pride and a sense of accomplishment. I've never done any of this stuff before. Thanks Scotty!

Not gonna lie, you've helped me learn. I don't mean I've learned how to fix 'my' truck, I mean I've rebuilt over a dozen engines and done tens of thousands worth in repairs for my friends alone with your help. You don't get what you deserve and you won't from others but from what I get about your character I'd be honored to work on cars with you in person, i'ld be like a 5yo meeting the real batman.

A couple months ago I had transmission lurching, engine overheating, and CEL  on load only. Called radiator guy. He said I needed a new convertor. Then I saw your vid on misfires. Stayed away from those shops & followed your advice; checked coil packs, plugs & wires. It was # 2 ignition wire. Got a new set of Delphi wires for $29 and all three problems ceased. Thanks, Scotty, for saving me tons of money & aggravation again.

Hi! I just got a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 3.3L. I'm not very knowledgeable in cars so I went with the least expensive thing first. The van has been idling, hesitating and not accelerating like it should. Not sure if this needed to all be done in one day but I had little funding so this is how it worked out. Day 1-Got the spark plugs changed. It ran a little better. A few days later changed the ignition coil. It ran excellent. The check engine light went off. A couple days later I changed the wires because they were falling apart. I accidentally connected them wrong for a moment then rearranged them. Immediately the check engine light came back on and it started running rough again. The next day I put the old ones back on and went and got 2 wires from the salvage that were the same brand (2 wires were completely falling apart) the other 4 were usable. Still no change and check engine light is still on. What should I do?

Your a lifesaver Scotty. My 2010 rolla had flashing check engine light while I was driving home from work today indicating a catalyst misfire. I got a p0302 code and your trick worked. I swapped clylider 1 out with 2 then got a p0301 misfire. Tomorrow I will buy a new coil pack and I will be right as rain haha. Thanks Scotty

After he says "recycling myself" there should be some stock footage of a recycling truck grabbing a green bin and dumping it in its hatch.

Comedy gold!
