Imagine having a 1.8t and lacking 4 valves.

Did you ask them if they were running 87 octane for the entire cars life? Seen holes burned in valves and pistons from people using the cheapest gas in turbo engines.

I’m really sure it’s has oil consumption issue too. That’s a lot carbon/ oil deposit on the exhaust valves. If you have an oil consumption issue. Give BG dynamic engine a try before doing pistons/rings or engine replacement.

Not so weird, it happens often in my shop, usually bc owners install cheap spark plugs.

Had similar issue with my CC, replaced the ignition coils spark plugs and PCV valve. It ran fine after that but my PCV valve keeps leaking oil right on top of my intake. Any suggestions as to why?

I own a 2017 Passat with the Neuspeed boost controller on it since well after break in. (20k). Car puts out right at 200hp. Gets 27-28 mpg on premium fuel. LiquiMoly 5w40 oil every 5k miles. I’m at 90k miles with no issues! It’s always been driven hard but never until oil temps are up and always gets time for the turbo to cool down. 90k miles with no issues so far!

But wouldn't you need to drop the pan to get the valve piece out. And if it's not there then .... just send it anyway?

I had the same issue on a caeb engine and it was caused by excessive oil consumption and caused the valve to melt

Quick question, what tool or scanner do you use for a 2003 volkswagen jetta tdi for the glow plug flashing light? I want to purchase that same equipment so I can use the scanner on my own car. Thanks

Hey I have a b8 a4 2.0 tfsi. I’ve had this random misfire shortly after buying this car. I’ve replaced coils, coil connectors, plugs, pcv valve, both oxygen sensors, air oil separator, cam bridge, magnetic cam adjuster, spool valve/cam adjuster, timing chain and guides. Can’t seem to fix the misfire. Could the issue be that I need to reset the car with an Audi/VW vcd wire and laptop? I’m out of options because this is my only car I use to get to work. Please help

Jesus Christ what’s up with that Pcv valve, it could be a Decepticon

How is it at 1.8T if it only has four valves per cylinder?

how can that level of carbon be prevented? Can you tell if it has spent a lot of time idling?

Should ask the costumer how much oil it’s consuming. Guarantee it’s an oil burner. That’s usually why the exhaust valves burn like that. Seen it many times on the 2.0T engines

Today'lesson: use a good fuel injection treatment every couple months and don't get gas from the unknown.
Gotta remember all those times you stopped at Petrol 99 and Wawa to fill up. Don't do it.

Might as well replace the shit cam while it’s apart.
