Gotta give him credit for getting OEM.

This kind of stuff is why I always check gaps. Never can tell what the factory is gonna send out.

If it was dropped,
I'd check the porcelain for cracks also 👍

My man took "just drop new spark plugs in it" too literally.

I don't care if they say they they're pre-gapped. You always check the gap on plugs before I put them in

As a mechanic you can never be too careful.. not only check the gap but use a multi-meter to verify they are good..

Plugs have to be recalibrated before installation

I remember when I started working as a mechanic. I had sold spark plugs. I went to the lead tech and told him one of them wasn’t gapped. He took some pliers and opened it up and said some gap is better than no gap 😂😂😂😂 damn engine purred like a kitten

One time a mechanic told me you don't need to check the gap, they come pre gaped! 😂

Another thing to always check is the wire side of the plug. The contact on the end is threaded and if its not tight it can cause a miss too.

Use a piece of rubber hose to gently lower your sparkplug into the hole and thread it in.

Just use a gap tool and bend the ground electrode to requirement

Do you need to torque the spark plugs with a torque wrench when putting In The news ones ?

Is there a way to hone in onto a bad plug prior to pulling all plugs?

I just changed mine and I am getting misfires now. I did not drop my plugs and double checked all of them for gap specs. The problem I have is that they are cheap plugs. Go with your OEM plugs for your vehicle

Also, always check the depth of the plug vs the oem one. Don’t rely on the auto parts store to sell you the right one. I seen it whe the piston hits the plug and closed the gap
