On the stem they're called nodes. Orchids benefit from an orchid feed. They also can get scorched by too much sun so it's good to give them partial shade. These phalaenopsis orchids also rebloom better if you let them get a bit cooler in winter.

As an orchid grower for 12 years now i've seen many vidéos saying that you can clone phalaenopsis orchids with this trick. I've tryed it myself, it's a wast of Time. But if you want to give it a try, it won't hurt anyone. 🤷🏻‍♀️
