This workout is meant to really push your strength in your upper body! I want you to use your heavy dumbbell or combine two dumbbells together to really challenge yourself today! We will be isolating one arm at a time to make sure your rep quality is priority!

Equipment I use:

*Please take note that calories burned vary for every individual depending on multiple factors (e.g. age, body weight, heart rate, height, effort intensity, etc). Any slight variation in any of these factors can dramatically alter the amount of calories you burn. I calculate all of my calories using an Apple Watch 3 with the High Intensity Interval Training Workout application and I am 27 years old, 5’8”, and weigh 145lbs so you can use my few factors as well as my intensity level to gauge yourself.

In this workout you are training with me, Sydney Cummings, owner of Royal Change and NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I am a fitness trainer is Charlotte, North Carolina and was a Division 1 athlete at West Virginia University where I was a national qualifying high jumper. I use my knowledge from my NASM certifications, bachelor’s degree, nursing school experience, and my elite athletic background to lead you through workouts designed to make you a stronger, more balanced athlete. My goal is to get you closer to your goals with each workout!

That was SO HARD!!! I pushed myself and used a 20 lb weight and boy was it tough!! I loved your message at the end of the video of removing the barriers and not setting limits. You push me everyday to be stronger and try harder. Thank you so much!! I'm getting strong, more fit, and happier with every workout!!

Loved the use of heavier weight! However I haven't had the funds to buy my 15's yet, so I used a 10 plus 5. A bit awkward mostly but I can tell I am definitely ready to buy the 15's (I think I will be able to manage the funds within the nextcouple of weeks.. Yay!!). Which is funny that you mentioned the barriers because I put one up saying that I probably was not going to be ready to use 15's for at least another 2 to 3 months and went to Wal-mart, checked out prices and tested it out and shocked myself that I could definitely start using it by the feel of it. And with this workout. Definitely know I need to get them pronto!

I'm trying to keep all this glorious sweat off the keyboard as I type. Normally this wouldn't be my type of workout, but I thought "what the hell" and went for it. And I liked it! As much as you can like the pain, right? By the end of those side jumps (and during the burpee/rows) I'm pretty sure I died. It was a great combo--just enough leg work paired with the upper body. Thanks, Sydney!

Two amazing things!! The first: I can go deeper into my pike! My shoulder rotation has improved so much! I literally giggled at how far back I went🙊 Second: I did every exercise except for the snatches using my 20 pound weight! I have been practicing between 12 pounds, 15 pounds, and 20 pounds for about a month now and so I decided to go deep today with my 15 pound next me just in case and I did it! So to all of you amazing people who push themselves today and noticed a difference in yourself I am so proud of you and deleted that you get to have this feeling today too! And if today wasn’t your day to push, but you still did the work out, fantastic to you because this was one challenging workout 💦💪🏼💦 Have a splendiferous day and thank you Sydney😘
