My school banned manhunt, pokémon cards and.... freaking snails. It's not because kids were killing them, it's because they felt that snails were taking away kids active play. They're snails. You want kids to explore nature. (There's probably more but I've only been there for 2 years)

My old school ( I'm now a college student), almost banned backpacks. When they weren't able to do that, they tried to make us use backpacks that you can see through, so they could see what you had inside. But that never happened either because the students and parents thought it wad ridiculous lol.

growing up, my school banned pokemon cards...bablades....they also banned hair color...they banned heelies shoes...they banned the traditinal pinch on st. patricks day....they didnt even put your class year photo in the year book if your photo wasnt " good enough" ...my school also banned having an art class...they had the art class for a short while but the boards thought it was a waist of time and money beings the kids were just using that class for "fun" and didnt see it as "learning" my school didnt even have any second language classes like spanish they have is English language. That school is still like this to this day. oh yeah..i forgot one...my school growing up also banned having any keychain on your binder, book bag, exc....
