I love Joanna, too. I really miss her videos. She is such a sweet person and has a lovely family. I'm really happy, Lynn, that I can watch your videos and get inspired to get up and clean. Thank you for the motivation.

Amen to decluttering in layers! Dawn the Minimal Mom says that if your house still feels hard to maintain, you have too much stuff. I have been decluttering for years, but now with a new baby, I find I can't maintain what I used to be able to maintain, so I need to declutter even further and make it more simple.

Totally agree about cleaning your appliances after use. Vacuum cleaner, carpet shampoo cleaner. My ex husband instilled in me that you look after your tools and they will look after you. He’s a carpenter, not that it’s important, but he always looked after his tools. ❤

Oh girl I'm right there with you!!! My kids are grown & gone, but I have a giant slobbery fur baby & a husband. Food mess, dog slobber - just is never ending! Hardly finish cleaning it all & I need to start over! I'll probably die with a rag & spray bottle in my hand 😂😂😂

I have been spring cleaning for the past 3 weeks, I live alone with a 2 year old Havanese pup. I get overwhelmed! I'm trying to minimize because I too am tired of picking up stuff, dusting, and then doing the same thing a week later, Ugh! So I now have 5 good size boxes ready to donate. Let someone younger and stronger dust and move my junk around. 😅 Little miss Emma ccracks me up, she's a doll . Thanks for sharing her with us ❤

Sometimes we had to have a friend clean for us. It really helped. Life happens.

I use the mesh pouches for games too and love it! Like Dawn from Minimal Mom says, it's all inventory we have to manage. I enjoy working on my home, getting it paired down so it is much easier to manage. My kids help out with it too and have gotten pretty good at it with me when we go through their toys. Even my husband, who hangs on to everything, has finally started to feel how nice it is to not be drowning in the clutter and has started with his stuff now too.

Try giving consumable gifts for holidays, like something to eat or something that will be used and gone, so things dont build up so much, it worked well for us❤Jesus loves you❤You got this girl!

I just love you Lynn. You were the visitor cleaning video that I started watching. You’re very real and we share a lot in common. Stay blessed and I will continue to pray for your blessings and you being a blessing…

I also tried a lot of stain removers. Then found ODORx Un-Duz-It Unleashed Pet Stain Remover and Odor Eliminator. It’s amazing. Had a bunch of old stains that kept popping up. Treated with this stuff, left it overnight and then used my carpet cleaning machine. Not a stain in sight. I actually went in with a black light as well to find all the hidden spots from when our dog was a puppy. Those are gone now too. I buy it on Amazon - comes in a big bottle and it’s concentrated so I just make a batch in a spray bottle.

Lynn I always use the shout grease remover in the can for pet stains. I will also mix a tablespoon of oxi clean in a measuring cup with very hot water and pour it in to my cleaner. But the shout in the can works AMAZING!

I'm with Chris. My books are very important to me, and I've got bookshelves or stacks of books in ever room. I love seeing them around me.

I have been unknowingly "quieting the house" after evac decor season for years. My family used to make fun of me, but now when they walk into our home and it looks like we are moving out because only furniture is left, they love it! They always talk about how open and empty it feels. They love it, and they love anticipating the new seasonal decor ☺️

I was saying to my husband just a couple days ago that I feel like everything in our house is filthy! He says everything looks fine. I'm planning to get a big chunk of it done this weekend, it'll feel so much better.

Hi Lynne! I work the ER a lot and for body fluids we use peroxide to remove blood, urine and face stains on our scrubs, we then use a Cavi-Wipe to disinfect our area on the scrubs, inside and out, that we cleaned with peroxide. Neither bleaches or fades our colored scrubs. I use peroxide on animal stains on our area rugs after putting towels on the area to absorb any residual fluids, then I put a bucket under the rug where the stain is and pour peroxide over it and allow it to drip through to the bucket, rinse with distilled water and repeat until the stain looks completely gone, empty the bucket, rinse it and then place it back under the treated spot and allow it to drip dry overnight, then I clean it with my carpet cleaner.

It is so comforting to see another Mama not have a pristine home. I feel like a failure sometimes when I am going thru a season when I can't keep it together. It is nice to know I am not alone. (I hope that came across the way I meant it...) Social media makes "you" feel like you gotta have it together all the time and I just can't. Especially in my current season. I appreciate you sharing your beautiful home being "lived in". 🤍

Absolutely loved this video, most relatable video I’ve ever watched. I have ADHD and so do my kids and I’ve started to realise although I love a lot of the “pretty” things it’s just too much for me to manage, I’ve came to realise my house needs minimal and functional.
Thanks so much for your honesty xxx

I LOVE your videos! They are extremely helpful. I have been on a decluttering journey and it is truely astounding how much stuff we can accumulate 😢
