Nate, Was a bodybuilder for 20yrs and made the switch to running thanks to my 14yr old daughter (4X JR Olympian). I’m 45yrs old and I’ve been running 28 months now and love the sport and the people! I’ve been putting in the work (6-7 days a week) and I’m going for sub 1:30 HALF this Sunday. Everyday I watch YT vids or read up on running/competing and your page is one of the best I’ve seen yet! You talk about proper nutrition such as green leafy veggies, protein (and when to take it) as well as things NO other runner has discussed (Glutathione) and more. Everything is spot on! I’m already training/doing everything you mention in all your vids and I’m improving exponentially over experienced runners in my area and I started running (first time ever) in less than 3yrs ago. Brother I cannot thank you for giving back and sharing your expertise advice with us! I have so many video requests I don’t know where to begin. I’m only in the gym 2 days a week these days. Could you do a vid on what muscle building/explosive speed exercises to do each week? I may already be doing them, but your audience may be interested in that as well. Can you do a video on How to run a 5-5:30 minute mile and a sub 2:30 800M? This summer I want to get close to a 5min 1500-1600M and 2:15-2:20 800M for a huge Midwest track meet I’ve been competing in the last 2 years (late July). Love this channel! Thanks again for your help!

Many thanks for the confidence, guidance and coaching, you are dropping powerful words and salute your expansive vocabulary. Hearing you call 01:30:00 as aggressive and competitive is empowering and providing the mental armament needed for race day. It’s right where my fitness is at nowadays so feel on target 🎯 with your message

Great advice as usual coach! My first Half was 1:36 last year in Ann Arbor MI. I believe I can hit the 1:30 next year when I do my second half and hopefully my first full.

I dont think anyone without talent runs a 2:19 marathon no matter what they do- that is next level running

Hi Nathan!! I'm 48 and I have been running for 13 months. My goal is at the 2:00 hr mark for the half. My question is about weight training. How much should I do and how often? I train 6/7 days.

Thank you for the info. I am a 1:33 HM runner, and this is what I need to hear to break 1:30. I’m thinking these same strategies can be used for a 3:15 FM...

Great video. I have been trying to break 90 for two years now with 1:34 two years ago and 1:30:47 last fall. I have had a solid training block for my attempt to go under 90 on Sunday. Problem is that it is going to be solo as my goal race was cancelled and I am almost 64 years old. This might be my last opportunity. Thanks for the inspiration.

I am running my first half marathon on my own just for fun this Saturday. I am not trying to go fast at all, just running to try to complete it. I ran 11 miles in my long run last week. I hope I have the mental toughness to stick with it for two more miles.

After running a 10 mile at 6:56 pace in August is running a half marathon at 6:52 in December realistic ?

Thanks for the video. I’m 53 years old and been running for 5 years with an average weekly mileage of 40 miles. My current half Marathon time is 1:55
My dream is to run in under 90 minutes. Is this still possible at my age? 🤔
