Why should you meditate? What is meditation useful for? What's the purpose of meditation? These are some of the questions we attempt to answer in this short talk. Ultimately, what it comes down to is mindfulness is both the goal of meditation as well as the means to achieving this goal. Mindfulness is how one can live a much more examined and tranquil life. This then extends into all the other benefits we often hear about meditation such as mental health, happiness, reducing anxiety, and improving mood. Practicing mindfulness for a few minutes every day is what allows us to practice mindfulness in our day to day.
