Parenteral nutrition, or PN, is a method of intravenous nutrition that is often used in premature babies who cannot maintain an adequate intake of food via oral or tube feeding directly into the gastrointestinal tract.

We are joined by Dr. Sivan Kinberg, Director of the Pediatric Intestinal Rehabilitation Center at Columbia University in New York, to learn about the importance of fatty acids and calories in parenteral nutrition. Also, one mother's story of resilience and love.
