Test Your Vitamin D At Home

Показать описание
Discovering a vitamin D deficiency can be concerning. Many assume more sun or supplements will fix it, but how do you know they’re working?

Accurate measurement of vitamin D requires frequent blood draws. But now, at-home testing kits provide a convenient way to easily check your levels, allowing you to make any necessary adjustments to your supplementation.

Are you testing your vitamin D? If so, what’s your level?

Well, there are 2 points to consider.
Vitamin D test is not what you are looking for, it measures the vit levels in the bloodstream which is not where the vit should be, the vitamin should be moved into the body cells, not be kept in the blood, so u might have a high vit levels in blood but u still suffer from vit D deficiency symptoms and vice versa, u might have low level in blood but with no deficiency symptoms because the vitamin is in the cells. So u cannot rely on the blood test unless u do lab test for the impact of vitamin D which are the following tests:
1-Total Calcium.
2-Ionzied Calcium.
3-Albumin.
4-Parathyroid Hormone.
Point 2-
If u have vit d deficiency symptoms whether it is high in the bloodstream or low, u need to know that vitamin D in order to be transfered from the blood to the cells, it needs the zinc and the magnesium and so many people have deficiency in both minerals, so if u need to take supplements u need to know the following: both minerals need a strong stomach acid in order to break them down and a healthy gut, so u need to drink 2 spoon of organic raw apple vinegar with cup of water 10 minutes before the meal, and taking betaine HCL. The zinc should be taken 30 mintues before the meal, while the magnesium should be take before sleep with 5 hours difference. The magnesium needs cdp choline for absorption. Also u need for repairing the guts to take probiotic once u wake up when the stomach acid at its lowest. Also drink licorice tea twice a day which is the herb for stomach and guts walls.
Last, u need to take vitamin K2 (m7) also the zinc and magnesium should be glycinate.
Good luck

Good video. I am age 70. My Vit D level is 74 with a good liquid gel bioavailable liposomal (fat solute)supplement with K2. For post menopausal women Vit D levels should be never less than 50, 60-80 recommended. Both essential for bone heath. Every cell in the body utilizes or benefits from Vit D ( it’s actually a hormone). I take 5, 000-10, 000 iu/ 5/days a week. As recommended by my physician.

If you're in the UK you can find the "one step" kit easily for cheap (amazon, ebay, etc). But if USA most seem to require sending blood sample to a lab & nothing available under $10

Got checked in 2018 and my level was at 18! Doc prescribed prescription D2, then I used consumerlab, chose the top pick, been 48-52 ever since. I use 2000IU D3 for maintenance.

It must be Vit D3 and taken with K2 in order fir it yo be absorbed. Im thrilled to hear you can get an OTC at home tests! I'll be looking fir those. If your Vit D goes over 100 that is not good making it important to know where yours is.

My doctors told me to take a loading dose of 35IUs/ pound of body weight as a “loading dose.” My numbers went from either “undetectable” or single digits in my bloodwork to the high end of normal.
Since then we’ve back off that dose to ~5-10IUs/ pound depending on how I feel.
For reference, I am a very pale, red-haired person who theoretically should be very good at making my own Vitamin D.

Can you share a link to where you purchase your tests? The ones on Amazon, start around $50

What works for you then? Did you have to take magnesium?

The research shows one needs to take vitamin D with the largest meal of the day. It is a fat soluble vitamin. The largest meal is the most likely to contain the most amount of fat.
