EASY Repair Cut & Broken Headphone cable DIY

How to easy repair cut, broken or frayed old headphone cable/wire - Just do it yourself and save money. My dear pet ruined my Audio Technica ath-m20x headphone cord and not working, it needs fix. This very easy tutorial can be used for any other headphones, headset, power adapter and other cables.

why not using mini heat shrink tubes to the individual wires?

How do you replace such fixed cables? My headphones are so old that the casing of the cables is unraveling and peeling off. or can they be re-covered somehow?

My headphones are still working, but the rubber casing of the cable is cracked and the wires can be seen (just 2-3 mm). Wires look ok. Can I just do the shrink heat tubing without the cutting/soldiering? Thanks.

The wire connecting to my right head set got cut, I don't even know where the break is. Its possibly inside the head support. I'm gonna have to pull one hell of a patch up to get mine back working :(

i think it's important to mention that the headphone wires are coated with an insulating coating that must be removed before soldering.

My headphones just stopped working but I don't know where the cord is broke But I do have a twisted spot on the cord

Gotta test the connection before you seal up the wires, if its not working you'll need to fix it before you seal it.
