Associate Charlotte Gooding shows how to repair a leaky water hose. If the hose is leaking at the faucet, replace the washer. If leaking at the male end, cut off the damaged part and insert a repair stem. If damaged in the middle, use 2 clamps.

I really appreciate short, to the point videos like this that don’t beat around the bush or adds lot of filler. This is exactly what I needed to know, went to HomeDepot, got the part for a few bucks, and fixed my hose in a bout a minute and a half.

Water pressure ripped my hose so I cut it then bought and clamped a repair stem for it, but it only lasted like 3 1/2 months so I took it back out and added another clamp so it had two. I tightened the main clamp on top of if it as it supposed to be and clamped the second a bit lower to sustain the presser and after a few days, it got off again. How can I give it a permanent fix?

Now, what about one of those flat, 3 chambered hoses with the little holes along it for watering? I absolutely can't find a female NTP connector to fit, and I can't get the hose out of the old one - it's glued in!

I want to see how that hose stands up to actually being used! With every one of their repair ideas I've tried, my hose ether leaks like a sieve or it completely blows out the repair! (Yes, my connection clamps are tight.)

You left out the struggle of pushing the mender into the hose and hurt hands.

The etiquettes of modern terminology makes this a bit more challenging to follow. Can a hoses' male end also be an innie and a female end be an outie, or are they still binary?

If you have a leak it’s best just to buy a new hose.

Well, if you'd drain the water from the hose and then put it inside somewhere, you wouldn't have to worry about damage from winter freeze!

Wish y'all would have put the links to the products to fix them in the description.. instead of sharing y'all's website 50 million times. What's the point in showing me how to fix something. But not showinge me what to use to fix it

Replaced two females both metal one plastic both leaked where the hose slips on to fitting. It’s a shame Home Depot buys cheap product. Use to be the place 😢
