I stil use my gh2 all the time. i think the only areas it realyl suffers are dynamic range in highlights, and it's low light performance. but if you know those things, and are prepared for them, it's no problem at all to get modern looking footage. and the thing that always surprises me on the gh2 vs my fuji and my sigma fp: the gh2 just looks sortof automatically filmy. it has an almost super16 quality to it.

Nice video stuff I was thinking of getting one for my student. I'd like to know what settings you would use for night footage like that. What ISO would you choose? And what aperture, etc and even lens? Thanks

Hi from Seattle! I'm having trouble getting close-up shots (not video, just single pics) of my dwarf shrimps and fish tank (aquarium). I have the default camera lens that came with it, and I got a Polaroid 52-58mm lens that I can attach, but it cannot really zoom into the aquatic animals (the pics come out blurry). My setting is AFS, Flower, closeup. What settings should I use? Thanks for any tips.

These are like 50 to 70 euros in my country, ridicules cheap and excellent for beginners, AF is poor in video, but frankly, a beginner must learn to use manual focus first and foremost.
