Picked up my D5100 2 months ago as my 1st camera for $140 with the kitlens and I was happy with the results. But then I saw a lot of comments about the 35mm 1.8G lens and the bokeh it is capable of, so I picked one up for about $60 and it is a gamechanger! This combo is perfect for me as I like having a fully articulating screen and a focal length that inlcudes the background to tell more of a story ❤

I moved up to my D3 from a D7000. I found the 7000 pretty poor for destructive noise, but the images were otherwise very punchy. AF was also questionable with certain lenses which was a bit annoying.

I’m thinking about getting a D60 with a AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED lens. Would this be a good camera to step up from my Kodak bridge camera?

What's odd about the D3000 is it's using the D200 sensor but has worse output.

I find the d7000 hass a better sensor than the d5100 but that's probably because of the color since

I was given a d3000 and bought a d3200 for £80. very happy with both. The D3200 is great value for money.

The D800 is still a great body and you can find them for a few hundred.

The D700 is better than all of these and around the same price as these shown. Plus it’s a full frame camera.

I'd avoid the D3000 & D5000 series all together as they can't use many Nikon lenses.

The D300 or D300s are worth buying.
The D7000 series is also worth buying, however you're better off buying the D300, D700, or D3.
