for those who find it a little harder to understand his method just take x over 8 times 8 = 5 times 8 which is x =40 and just simplify

Sure, but this doesn't explain why that's the answer. Now if someone gets a similar but different question they are going to be confused.
X/8 = 5 due to the fact that 8/8 is 1 meaning you times the denominator by the output - 8×5 = 40 so we know that x is actually 40/8, now we reverse that, so 8/40 - simplify that and you see it's 1/5th, a smarter way to do this is as follows.
40/8 = 5/1 so the reverse must also be true 8/40 = 1/5.
Now you know the reason behind the math and the trick to it, but it only works if the top number is the same, what if the second one was 4/x?
That's why it's better to know the reason than the trick.

For the first one just solve for x as your normally would and input the value into the 2nd part

Bro these cant be real im american and im disappointed in the amount of hype they put on the sats and ive been studying and they are so easy but to solution is x/8=5 so make 5 5/1 and now flip them both
8/x=1/5
