Invisalign Rubber Bands

Invisalign and braces only make your teeth straight; they do not fix bites on their own.

Rubber bands are for bite correction (i.e. overbites and underbites).

Our upper and lower teeth should connect in a precise manner when we bite. Many people have an overbite or an underbite, and so there is no good connection of upper and lower teeth when biting.

An imperfect bite can lead to functional problems like speech issues and the inability to chew foods properly.

The way a person bites also has a profound impact on the aesthetics of facial structure and smile.

If rubber bands are prescribed by your orthodontist for bite correction during Invisalign or braces treatment, they usually have to be worn all day, every day (only removed for eating and brushing) in order to be effective. Wear them to sleep as well.

I'M SO SCARED... I like almost never wore those rubber bands but everytime my orthodentist would always say "oh these elastics have been working well" and now i'm getting them off in almost 10 days and i'm scared i'll have to do months with it again or i won't have a good overbite when i get them off
