I have a rubber band just like that on my right side 24/7, at first it hurt so bad but now it feels weird not to have them in lol. I can also see a lot of progress with my midline so far, and to anyone going through pain from braces rn, push through! Trust me, it’s worth it!!

I just got these on this past Friday 3 days ago for my overbite. I also got the power bands and this combo woah! There was soooo much discomfort I think slightly more than the initial pressure of when I first got the wires in. Finally today I think feels much more better.

I have Invisalign. Do you use elastics with your Invisalign patients?

If so, can you explain how yours works? Do you have hooks on your Invisalign?

I have had Invisalign for 13 months now with no elastics, but I just had a surgery where now I have to use elastics to pull down my upper canines.

My set up is odd, I’m just curious how other people are doing it.

PS: I don’t have any hooks on mine. My ortho just cut my aligners by hand to make a spot to hook them on, but I can’t get mine on at all.

I’m going back next week to see if we can fix it or find another solution.

Do we also put the rubberband on one side or both side cause my doctor put it on the left side but I see people wit it on both sides?

Is there any other kind of brackets than molar brackets? The molar brackets cause a small amount of pain when you first get them, they have these little tiny balls to make your teeth go back to normal, that's probably only if you have an overbite, like me. I need some answers please:)

The midline is off! If it was for overbite, the rubber bands would be on both sides.

I have cross elastics and I have them because I have an under bite on my top teeth

I have them on same teeth on one side and on the other side but in opposite order

mines is messed up my top mid line is to the right and my bottom to the left side of my face. I only care that my top teeth is in the middle of my face and still could not move it to the right because there is no space. ortho would not trim my teeth.

Hi! My orthodontist told me to go to an oral surgeon because they found part of a wisdom tooth in my gums (I had them removed not too long ago). When we went to the oral surgeon, he said that it wasn’t a problem and he’d talk to the orthodontist. It’s been a month and we haven’t heard anything from either of them. What should I do? Also this is keeping me from getting my braces on.
