all the tracks feels "old" and little imperfections here and there.. not too fancy.. truly feels like something unearthed from old dark ages.. it's just blends well with the game world and atmosphere.. the music not tries to excite you or anything, it's simply the world agony rendered in music..

The demon souls soundtrack is so original, and the use of brass and slow instrumentals made me feel how slow and methodical the game should be played. I loved how the setting was so fairytale esque, “evil king releases demons, you are the hero who must end his tyranny “

I love the contrast of the two ending songs and their implied meaning:

* "The One Who Craves Souls" refers to you, the player character who kills the maiden and takes the Old Ones power all for yourself. This song is very brooding and dark, as if expressing sorrow over this sad ending.

* "Return to Slumber" refers to the Maiden in Black putting the Old One back to sleep. This song is literally the maiden singing her lullaby.

Both endings make me tear up a bit. This is a very beautiful and special game.

Demon’s Souls was one of my first platinums..absolutely loved this game so much I played it to 100% completion. The soundtrack is beautiful..it’s crisp, clear, employs a strong orchestrated feel and void of most studio enhancements. I play it every Halloween and get many compliments. Now with the remake I can’t wait to visit Boletaria Umbasa

I sometimes think the OST is the reason why Demon's Souls is still my favorite Soulsborne game.

The most unique OST of the soulsborne series, probably most unique that ive heard in videogames so far. People say it sounds low budget etc, i think it adds to the flavour. The following souls games had higher production value, but the OST never felt as memorable. Some of the songs are still good, but most of them feel generic orchestra to me. Demons souls has such a weird completely different style in the music, be it because limitations or by choice. Its my favourite OST for sure.

I found Demon's Souls music to be more about setting a mood, and complementing the situation (eg: Adjucator). Whereas Darksouls tends to be much more theatrical.

This is the superior version of the soundtrack. The melodies in this one are so much better, there's a clarity to it. Sure, it's not as orchestrated as the in the remake soundtrack but that's part of the charm, it contributes very well to the mood of Demon's Souls (which is much darker than in the Dark Souls games).

It's eerily similar to the old Conan the Barbarian OST by Basil Poledouris and that's precisely what makes it so amazing. I don't know much about music but I guess it's mostly due to the drums and the choir. The music, despite being a bit weird and wacky, feels "genuine" somehow, it's truly inspired.
