--Not drinking enough water- Drink water whenever you feel thirsty. By ignoring this, the body becomes dehydrated. The kidney needs fluid to remove toxins from the body in the form of Urine. Not drinking the right amount of water impacts the functioning of kidneys.
--Lack of Sleep- The body becomes exhausted when it is not given complete rest. When the body is exhausted, blood pressure increases which affects the functioning of the kidneys.
--Taking too many painkillers- Painkillers cause damage to nephrons(functioning unit of kidneys) which directly affects the functioning of kidneys and raises the levels of creatinine and urea.
--Taking excess Caffeine- Excess caffeine increases blood pressure causing damage to kidneys. This increased blood pressure drops the functioning of kidneys thereby raising the levels of creatinine and urea.
--Excess Alcohol intake- Take alcohol on an occasional basis.
--Smoking- Tobacco contains Nicotine which works similar to Caffeine. So all substances that increase blood pressure should be avoided such as caffeine, nicotine, and salt.
--Too much protein intake- Protein is the building block of our body and is very essential for our growth. Avoid taking red meat as it is high-density protein and is difficult to digest.
--Diabetes- 40% of kidney failure patients suffer are diabetic. Diabetic patients have a high chance of suffering from kidney failure.
--Not maintaining Blood Pressure- High blood pressure for a long period of time will cause substantial damage to the kidneys resulting in an increase in the levels of creatinine and urea.
--Being Overweight
--Taking too much sodium- The source of Sodium is sodium chloride. Salt contains sodium chloride in large amounts. Consumption of salt in higher amounts causes high blood pressure which causes injury to nephrons.
