15:35 Learn more about brain health!

Today I’m going to share some of the top things that can severely affect your brain.

Top things that negatively affect your brain:
1. Chronic exposure to bad news
2. Toxic personalities
3. Spending too much time inside
4. Low-fat, low-cholesterol diets
5. High-grain diets
6. High-sugar diets
7. Low-stress to no stress at all
8. High-stress
9. Snacking
10. Things that decrease gut microbes
11. Consuming grain-fed animal products

One of the most surprising things on this list is grain-fed animal products. I recently participated in an interesting beef nutrient-density study. This study compared the beef from my farm to grass-fed beef and grain-fed beef, looking at factors that contribute to health and disease.

It turns out that the beef from my farm was significantly higher in phytonutrients and vitamin B3. It also had a fantastic omega-6 fatty acid to omega-3 fatty acid ratio. Not only that, but the beef I sent was low in glycation end-products and homocysteine, which are both harmful to the brain.

Grass-fed beef also did much better than grain-fed beef when looking at these same factors. My beef may have done best because I raise my cattle on pastures with a diversity of weeds for the cows to consume.

Overall, it’s crucial to consume grass-fed, grass-finished beef or 100% grass-fed beef to support your brain and your overall health.

Being married to a narcissist brought me all kinds of health problems. The worse was extreme panic attacks which often limited my ability to leave home. Since divorcing some health issues still remain, but most improved.

I just canceled our cable TV. It is the best decision ever, because the news was driving me crazy. Started Keto, IF, low-carb, walking, mild weights and cut coffee in half. I'm down 40 lbs in 6 months and no more high blood pressure meds. My anti-inflammatory meds have been cut in half and I'm not done yet. I feel great.

My own hair growth success, I myself stuck to this routine:
Take early morning sunshine daily for vitamin D. Consume veggies of various colors. Applying paraben-free and fragrance free hair shampoo and gently massaging twice a week with hair oil by litttleextra's cocooonion oil. Imp. to remember that hair growth is affected by overall health as well as circulation and diet.

Number 8 high stress is exactly why as a critical care nurse I preferred to work 3 twelve hour shifts a week. It gave me 4 days to relax and heal from the high stress environment.

I got rid of the TV 15 years ago and I stopped watching the news completely after I saw a program showing how negativity sells more.

When I was growing up in England the field behind our home had a huge number of wild flowers and weeds. There is a farm outside of Witney Oxfordshire that has an ancient pasture that is being preserved for the huge number of plants. The old time farmers used to say that if the cattle felt a bit off color they knew which plants to eat to feel better but the new farmers that did not leave the old field alone did not have that benefit.

My husband and I have been doing Keto for two years. We started in January 2021. I wish I started a long time ago. I am 60 years old and feel better than when I was 30! I must admit, I was skeptical at first but our son found Dr. Berg first and coached us through all the fear. Friends our age are dealing with so many health issues and even though they see how healthy we are they refuse to believe. Thank you Dr. Berg.

Dr. Berg really knows his stuff. I feel that doctors who attend medical school these days, do not really learn about all this stuff in detail which makes me doubt the health care that I am receiving. So, please do your own homework and research before going to any doctor these days because every person is different.

Thank you Dr. Berg. I’m actually guilty myself of practicing #1, #2, and #3 😢 I wasn’t aware I was doing this to my brain so I’ll do better to try to avoid these habits. You are a blessing in disguise 🙏
