Does Infant Baptism Contradict the Bible?

In the Bible, Jesus gets baptized in the New Testament at the age around 30 by John the Baptist. However, does this undermine the Catholic and Orthodox view of infant baptism? A few other Protestant denominations like Lutherans also baptized infants too.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

The best way a teacher can teach is through example. He taught us to pray through example..he taught us to live through example. Everything was through example. Best teacher ever right there!

An infant has not been baptized of their own free will they do not understand what a relationship with God is

“If Catholics baptize infants, then why didn’t Jesus get baptized until the age of thirty?”

Because he was Jewish… not catholic

Baptism does not remove the stain of sin, thats belony. only by grace and the blood of Jesus are we justified. Not by our works, so that no one can boast. Baptism in my perspective is like sealing a covenant between you and God where you not only declare Jesus as your saviour but also as LORD of your life, and so you die to you old self and be renewed. Baptism does not wash away the stain of your original sin.

JESUS is our FOUNDATION. HE is the DIVINE FOUNTAIN SOURCE from which our Baptism comes.

You failed to mention the most important reason. We baptized infants and it's stated in acts.18 Not only is it for the forgiveness of sins for adults, but it is for delivery of the gift of the Holy Spirit to within your soul and due to satan's deception, people choose to keep their infant souls open for unclean spirits. where we deliver the gift as soon as possible for the spiritual wellbeing of the infant we love.

That baptism eliminates original sin is a man made fantasy.

The worst thing is that Protestants (like me 30 years ago) withhold the entry to the New Covenant to their children meaning good out of ignorance but thereby withholding the „Promise“ from them despite St. Peters first sermon: „For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself“ (Acts 2, 39). A convert from Pentecostalism to the Catholic Church 🙏📿

Okay so, that’d work great and I’d agree if it was the baptism itself that did the saving of your soul, but it does not. Baptism is the outward display of an inward conversion to Christ. Baptism is for any age that after being Saved by the Grace of God tells their testimony of salvation and wishes to join the Church ( A local body of baptized believers ). So then and only then can an individual receive the blessing of Baptism. Baptism doesn’t cover sins Gods perfect Salvation does.

I was raised Catholic but I want to get baptized with full intent of following Christ and accepting Him as my Lord and Savior

I've seen fire and I've seen rain, and I'll take the rain of baptism over the fire of circumsquire.

"let it be so for now to accomplish all righteousness"
(Its just the aproximative verset but its still the verset, but have a good day Jesus and his father loves you😊)

But then again, your presumption is that "baptism removes the stain of original sin"

Brother can you please make a video about the reason why God asked for animal sacrifices in the old testament and how it is different from the pagan religions

The Early Church Fathers were unanimous in their teachings about baptizing infants. In fact, the only disagreement among them was whether to wait until the eighth day to do it or not. 👍🏻👍🏻

In my religion we believe that people got baptized for their own sins. Not for the sins of our predecessors. That's why we don't baptise people until they are old enough to make the decision themselves and not just because their parents decided to

This only makes sense if you believe we're held responsible for Eve's sin. The Bible says we are not responsible for any sins except our own.
(Ezekiel 18:20)
As for the book of acts; there was one household mentioned. And most families don't have babies in their households.

Baptism replaces circumcision as an act of obedience and showing we are set apart.
