This Toyota RAV4 will be a special car to me, forever.
Because, my dad bought it in 2021, months after knowing he has terminal cancer, and his very old Audi TT will no longer be the suitable car for what time he has left. So, he passed away a few months after he bought this car. And the car was left to me. I didn't even have a license, even though I have loved cars for over 20 years, because I live in a part of the world where having a car is totally unnecessary and very expensive. But, because of this RAV4, I can feel and pretend like my dad is still with me, I can still see him, be with him.
I even went to all the trouble of learning to drive and got my license for no practical reasons but because of what this car means to me.
And also I have to say, this generation of RAV4, it looks so good...
RAV4 was a very uncool brand in the past, but this generation? Man, it does look good, it changes everything
I didn't even know I like its look and everything it has this much until I saw it and drove it.
This car is basically like a normal person's version of the Lamborghini Urus.

Got my 2024 Rav 4 LE about 3 weeks ago. Love it. Its our first Toyota. We had been driving ford vehicles prior. I dont want to talk about it lol. But we love the vehicle. Surprised people say it's "small." We came from a full sized sedan and its a touch bigger than that. The LE comes with freat features in itself. And we got ours in the blackout edition! Which is a plus!!! Getting approx 29-30 mpg combined so far. So doing better than the sedan we had. So far we are really loving our Rav4. Dealer markup wasnt too bad where we reside. About 2k more than msrp. But we also got a rebate. So only 1k markup in the end!!!

I just ordered my RAV4 XLE gas model with weather package only (I use heated seats a lot in winter), won't have a car with a moon/sun roof (they always will eventually leak and wouldn't use it anyway) and prefer a manual back hatch, faster for me to use and one less motor to go out. Also got mudguards, alloy wheel locks (not much more cost than if I buy 3rd party and they are balanced already), and the all weather liner pkg because I haul a lot of dirty yard stuff throughout the year. Got them to take $1000 off MSRP, and no dealer added extras to hassle about. In Northern California, smaller town. Due to be built next week in Canada, delivery end of May. Compared to other dealers within 100 miles of me, I considered this a good deal (cash sale). Got color I wanted and no other junk installed on it (Ice Cap ext/black cloth int, I hate vinyl/leather seats). Got 2024 to make sure I get an ICE with real knobs on HVAC and start/stop switch that will be turned off every time I start the car. Next RAV4 refresh will most likely be hybrid only and more integration into screen for functions. Coming from 2013 Subaru Outback, which I've loved except for the gutless CVT, but new ones rely on most functions including HVAC being on screen and don't really want another CVT.

I hope 2025 Rav4 will be as spacious as the Honda CRV. Almost bought the Rav4 until I test drove it and found it way too cramped inside. Other than that I really liked it

Buyers beware, Google rav4 cablegate problems. The hybrid cable corrosion problems still exist. A very expensive repair...
