Excellent work once again Ciro! This Rav, is like the girl your mom would like you to marry, not very exciting, but extremely reliable, the marriage will last for centuries.

Just bought the 2.5 AWD VX. No wonder it’s the 5th best selling car in the world. It could be Toyota’s best ever car made .

What happened to the sound? It's not what I'd call, high definition 😬

You could have a base Fortuner for less, sure it won’t be the same spec/equipment level but it’d have a proper gearbox, some actual grunt whilst being more capable off-road all in a more practical and rugged body.
It’s a no brainier in my opinion, honestly I’d go as far as saying anyone who buys this RAV-4 over a Fortuner has more money than sense. It’s more of a fashion statement than anything else.
The RAV-4 has a lot going for it, it looks great and the interior is top notch but the engine but gearbox combination spoils the entire package.

The pricing would be the same here in my country after I convert from ZAR.
We'll wait to buy them preowned from Japan or Singapore in a few years when they'll be a whole lot cheaper.

Got the previous gen with NA 2.0l CVT FWD. Same power. Having owned that, for this price range, I would go for the TIguan. Android auto and Apple carplay is definitely missed. Cooled seats are awesome though. For a long drive, lumbar support + cooled seats + soft steering wheel + turbo engine is what I wish I had in my Rav4. Also, my car's fuel economy is pretty horrendous. 11l to 12l per 100KM average. The old 2.2 diesel VX does have the lumbar support and some other goodies. Nice to see rear aircon vents are added.

Too bad about the "in car" audio, barely audible.

The US spec for the RAV4 gives you the almost ubiquitous 2.5 liter 4 cylinder mated to an 8 speed (conventional) automatic transmission.
Apparently Toyota uses a CVT in any product that has a 2 liter or SMALLER engine, or has a hybrid powerplant.

BTW, testers in the US called the 8 speed "clunky" in operation, so it's a toss-up as to which is better....CVT or 8 speed.

Hi. Does anyone know if it’s possible to get Apple CarPlay retrofitted in the 2019 RAV4? No luck at my local Toyota dealership

8:17 16? NO No no, There are only 6 potential cars around the same price in this AWD/4x4 segment.
Mitsubishi Eclipse cross - R450K
Nissan X-Trail 4x4 - R461K
Subaru Crosstrek S-ES - R464K
Renault Koleos AWD - R480K
Toyota RAV4 AWD - R508K
Subaru Forester S-ES - R509K
In my opinion, Subaru's are definitely the best at the moment. Especially with all the safety specs & offroad capability.
You could Save 100-150K & "downgrade" to a Suzuki Vitara Allgrip_Renault Duster4x4 or Suzuki Jimny Or
You can Spend 100-150k & "Upgrade" to a Tiguan4motion_Mazda CX5AWD or Jeep Compass Trailhawk.

Please cut off the background music, it's distracting and makes it hard to hear you and to take in the images.
