If you can't mew correctly here are some things I have learned that might help:
1 Make sure you have correct bite and don't have underbite so that your jaws are aligned. I had a little bit of underbite and because of that I just could not fit my tongue on the roof of my mouth without blocking the airway. So it was impossible for me to mew correctly.
2 DO NOT try to apply too much force when you mew. The key to mewing is consistency you need to have you tongue on the roof of you mouth 24/7 and if you apply too much force you will get tired quickly and won't be able to maintain that posture.

I have experimented with mewing for a while now and it made my face asymmetrical. I just make sure to breathe through my nose at all times and I hope this should result in natural mewing over time.

The advice that worked for me is that there is an optional tounge posture for everyone depending on the size of your tonge, the way you can find out your is if you smile while swallowing, and for a second the back of your tounge will touch the top of your gum. Swallow a couple times and try to remember the position where the back of your tounge touched your gum. I think it will be impossible on day 1 cause if you never mewed before then your tounge will not be Strong enough to go that high, but yeah just swallow and keep your tounge in the position where it ended at the end of the swallowing.

i have braces, but everytime my tongue sits up there it hits the side of my teeth. and it feels like my tongue is bigger then the lengths between my right and left teeth

I naturally had a very good jawline when I was younger I used push my front teeth and put my back teeth together I got an overbite and cross bite and my ortho told me to remove my premolars and get braces but that will give me even more of a recceced jaw and when I see my parents and sisters perfect straight teeth and nice jaw I can’t think to feel a bit jealous any tips anyone ?

I’ve been mewing since 6th grade I noticed I had a open mouth like napoleon dynamite so I wanted to start the new school yr with a closed mouth. It was so hard but now it’s second nature and my face is very pretty now I’m 31 now and been asked if I’ve had cosmetic work done. I have not.
