The worst are the older people. When it asks if they want cash back, 99% of the time they will hit cancel instead of no. Then they get mad that it didn't work and if you try to get them to insert their card again, they accuse you of trying to double charge them. I had been yelled at so many times and had to call the manager.

I worked at a grocery store for 3 years bruh and when I heard those beeps I had ptsd lmao but lemme tell you fellow retail workers. Don't be afraid to take their card out for them and wrap it up with the receipt and either hand to them or throw in their cart. I have 20 other people and line and gotta get shit moving

At my job the card readers will expire if you leave your card in for too long, so I constantly have to explain to people they need to put the card back in and every single time without fail they say “this better not charge me twice” like bruh do you realize how big the class action lawsuit would be if my job was charging people twice??? Besides, don’t you think if it charged you once it would have finished the order and printed the receipt? People drive me insane haha

Meanwhile the things beeping away and I've told her multiple times to take the card out. Then a customer behind her told her the same thing... SUDDENLY it all makes sense.
She did not say sorry.

Underrated tho is when they ask if they can tap the card and then they tap it at light speed and the machine can’t read it because it was too fast
