When people come to the register and then complain about the prices as if you have any say so in the pricing.

I would make one change. "Let me go get my manager so they can tell you the same thing." should actually be, "Let me go get my manager so he can undermine everything I told you and give you what you want so you can smirk at me because I was only telling you what the company wants me to do."

I think everyone should experience working in service at least once in their life. It teaches people to be nice to those who work in service.

I actually really like my retail job. Only annoying part is when I say we close in 10 minutes, and the person stays another 30.

Oh my, I relate to so many of these. One thing that pissed me off was when people did not control their kids when looking around the store, the staff do not temporarily become your babysitter.

as a cashier I always hear this "oh you're have no costumer, you're lonely and bored. Let me entertain you."

I really want to smack them in the face when they say that

I worked as a cashier at a grocery store and it was the most horrible experience ever. I felt like my soul was ripped from my body the moment I walked inside that hellhole.

One of my biggest pet peeves working in retail is I am not allowed to just stand at the register (and I don't really want to) but as soon as I walk away from it a customer has to come up to the counter and yell out "Does anyone work here?" Then I have to walts back over with a smile on my face.

I work in a bakery and people always get mad that we need at least 48 hours on a cake order. I understand that it's your kid's birthday, but it takes time to make and decorate a cake, and other people already have orders in we need to honor. You of all people knew your kid's birthday was coming up, so why did you wait until last minute?

I've never worked in retail or anything like that but because of videos like these I try to be the most respectful customer every and super nice. The sad part is most people don't realise that retail workers are people too and all they want to do is make a living.

Retail is horrific. Any job where you have to be around people really.
