BlackBerry Q10 Review and Z10 Comparison

Here is my review of the BlackBerry Q10, the keyboard warrior device! In this review I compare it to my Z10 and also give comparisons into the two BlackBerry 10 phones. If you havent seen the Z10 review then you really really should to gain a better understanding of the new BB10 OS.

Hey Chane, super interesting about the swipe up search and action feature on the Z10, I did not know that! I will have to remember that whenever I switch to the Z10. I was discussing with a friend the other day about virtual keyboards and truly believe that the Z10 has the best virtual keyboard on any phone ever. It's so smart.

GREAT VID. This has actually made me finally decide to get the q10 cause I was thinking about the z10 and its flashy looks but at the end realised what Im actually gonna be using the bb for which is typing mostly.

Hi Alfredo, it is suited for business and email perfectly. One thing to check though is what apps help you get your job done. You should then check on BlackBerry AppWorld that those apps exist for the Q10. The iPhone may not be the best for email however there may be apps on iPhone which could help you do your job. Worth a look first.

Thanks mate, I agree too. I take every review phone, put my personal sim in there and force myself to use it, usually for two weeks. So I wont ever have a review of a product online FIRST but it will be an informed review.

I have seen the white Q10 and it looks great, yeah it shows dirt and wear a little more than the black but that really is the price you pay for the good look. Hard choice, ultimately though you can wrap any color case around it and get the look you want.

The price issue is something I didnt know at the time of the review and in Australia the pricing is actually quite high. In order to be competitive I think they need to win on price as well and the RRP is to high right now. I hope it drops quickly.

Instagram isnt up and ready. You can sideload the android version but it is far from appropriate. No iTunes is required. You can use BlackBerry Link to sync photos, videos and music or you can just use the phone like a USB drive and copy/paste files onto the phone. I do like that part.

to save more battery, i just off my data and only turn it on when im checking emails or fb etc. With q10 it's really fast to check through your emails and updates instead of having to click the program icon and wait for it to load. Just got my q10 around 2 wks ago and still getting used to the 'remember' feature etc. If you're task oriented and type alot, def go for q10. I do play games and watch videos on it and the screen doesn't really bother me. Hardcore bb gonna love this phone!

On heavy heavy usage I was managing a full day (6am to midnight) easily and when I say heavy I mean live tweeting at the BB Live keynote, taking heaps of photos and video plus a tonne of BBM. On average use, two days is possible.
