Apple, Android, and Windows Phone all launched with less than 10, 000 apps. BlackBerry 10 launched with 70, 000... That is truly fantastic. Nice job BlackBerry!

Have been using the phone for the last 5 months, hasn't frozen not even once! and the cool apps keep coming every day which makes the experience much nicer. I definitely recommend the Z10.

Thank you so much foe the review, I was a very big support and user of BB but I switched to a Android and won't a few months ago and will never go back.

Excellent summary of the strengths and weaknesses. Biggest thing I miss from my Curve was my Universal Inbox. Glad to see they made that a priority...

And one thing about applications, BB10 have 2 types screen resolution for phone. Z10 use 1280x720 and Q10 use 720x720, not to mention resolution used in BB10 tablet. It's hard to adjust style on one BB10. It's not only the resolution but also the ratio.

Was looking for a video to catch up with BB10. This summed it up. Thanks.

Your review was on point and really helped me. I was a big fan of blackberry for many years then I finally went over to android and have never looked back. The new blackberry did peak my interest but the lack of apps would be a huge negative for me seeing that I have android and I have so many app options.

Thats my biggest problem with going back to BB is the lack of a cloud. Right now my iPhone interacts great with my macbook pro and iPad and I almost never worry about syncing songs, data and contacts. Glad to see RIM moving into the future though, not sure if it will be enough to take down any share of the market.

i'm really impressed by the Blackberry Z10, the browser smokes every phone out there! to me browser and the emails/messaging is the most important part and the Z10 does an amazing job in that area.
can't wait to get one!

I'm not sure if you got your answer but you open the pic and click on it, there will be two options which open on the right. The one on top saves the pic in your photo gallery and the one at the bottom will make it your profile pic!

I think this is a very useful review and I respect this man and the parameters of the phone in which he addresses. I do however think he left out another very big strength. I think the speed of the phone and how quickly the phone processes information will also be a huge hit with users. Its nice to use a phone that has the same type of internal setup as a computer.

As a loyal BB user that can't wait to get his hands on a Z10, I have a question. Why are the number of apps so important - I keep hearing the downside being the lack of apps! How many does one need?

No mention of Balance when discussing the top 5 pros and cons?

Nice view. But although I don't know the WSJ, it sounds like a legitimate medium. So if you're using that name, shouldn't you mind the quality of your video? By f.e. using a decent camera? Or did you use like a phone of tablet for this?

Decent review. I don't understand why there was no mention of the gesture-based "flow" operating experience as a strength. Wouldn't the overall smooth and seamless user experience overshadow things like the lack of apps (which remains to be seen since the device hasn't even launched yet) or the lack of cloud storage? Too much focus on the negatives, which are things that could easily be changed when the device is actually out in the market for a while.

as long as the major apps are there im sold. i dont need gmail since the blackberry hub does a better job with emails and who needs instagram when theres a free built in photo editor.

i do agree with you however that its good that RIM gave the touch screen device a priority
