Forget the weight loss, I want to know Tim's secrets for slowly transforming into Woody Harrelson.

Hey Tim, I am 46, 5'8" and was at a whopping(ya, lotsa whoppers) 205lbs(about 29% body fat) last December 25th 2017. I did the 3 day fasting once a month from Dec.2017-April 2018 and cut my carbs intake by about 80%. January 14th I weighed in at 194lbs(27.2%body fat). Feb. 24th, weighed in at 183(24.5% body fat). Last weigh in April 7th @ 173.8lbs(20.7% body fat). Currently floating between 182lbs. And 184lbs, while Working on strength and flexibility. Just wanted to share👊🏽

Tim is right, I used to eat oatmeal with almond milk and protein powder every morning and would always feel sluggish afterwards. Now that I eat 2 eggs, black beans, and spinach with avocado, I feel energized and stay full longer.

I am not a big fan of canned beans. So I make my own. 1, soak them overnight or for few hours. 2, drain and cook them in slow cooker.
I keep them in the freezer for future use. 😝

I’ve done both of these things but absolutely can’t rely on them for weight loss. That said, they’ve made a tremendous difference in my usual morning anxiety and stability of mood the entire day. Didn’t expect that. Also didn’t expect the willingness for, and lack of fear of, the vigorous exercise I need to blow off all the energy I’ve suppressed for far too long. Thanks for these video nuggets. The one on exercises to end lower back pain was like magic.

I heartily agree with your two recommendations! And 1 TBSP of full-fat cream is exactly what I put in my 4 ounces of brewed coffee in the mornings! Eating within 30 minutes is amazing advice! I do get one meal with 30 g of protein and a lot of leafy greens, but I didn't have a time preference on that, except that I tried to have it no later than noon or 1pm - I eat 6 times a day in a very structured way, and I lost over 130 pounds (half of me). I'll have to try having it as my first meal of the day and see how I feel, if it makes a difference for me! Thanks for the tips Tim!

5 Hour work week changed my life. Listened to it 6 times at least. Having said that you have not popped up on Youtube in a year at least (and I have been a subscriber for years).

I used to be moderately overweight, not obese, so maybe not the best person to weigh in. But I ended up having the best success slimming down by doing just bullet proof coffee in the morning, then typically eating a few eggs around noon or 2 pm along with some mixed nuts (add in some veggies if possible) and making salad and cruciferous veggies as the center peace of dinner and try to eat before 8 pm. So my regimen was kind of like time-restricted eating, but not quite because of the bullet-proof coffee. Anyway, this worked for me more than anything else and I am still one lean mofo.

I just started Tim's slow-carb diet 3 days ago. I can already attest that you will not starve at all during this thing. I'm also noticing a thinning in my face already, as well as balanced energy throughout the day (no crashes). Looking forward to 3-4 weeks from now....

Fat Loss 101:
1. Consume less calories then you burn. Its called calorie deficit. You want to have at least 200-400 kCal in negative per day.

2. Keep your insulin low. This will let your body use fat as energy source. Keep insulin low by not eating sugar and simple carbs (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes etc)

3. Keep your calorie deficit constant by keeping your metabolism constant. The only way you can keep your metabolism constant while eating fewer calories is by doing EXERCISE. If you don't exercise, your body will adapt to your low calorie needs and your calorie deficit will go down. So exercise may not be important to burn a lot of calories but it is very important to keep your metabolism high.

Have these 3 conditions and you will burn fat.

My husband and I just started the slow carb diet from 4 Hour Body. We've changed a lot of our bad eating habits over the years and are looking forward to a more consistent eating plan, you might say. And very much looking forward to the results!

skip breakfast. intermitten fasing is the key.
not only you eat less, feel better and loose weight - it also shapes your willpower.
People just eat too much! we are human beings, and for 400 000 years we have been eating small amount of foods, maybe one or two times a day, and then maybe a day or two without food at all!
now, we are bombarded with teories that we have to eat 6 meals a day! eat less, feel better!
