I liked the 5 minute rule habit. Just getting started for 5 minutes with anything can help to reduce procrastination.

Incorporating 5 minutes to my workout routine has really helped me with mindset! I spent 5 min everyday for the whole half of jan and increased to 10 min for feb and now i am proud to say I am doing 15 min workouts for march!!

This is my first Ali video and I love it! I’m a retired English teacher and when I was working I had my own set of ‘rules’ for managing my day. The list of things to do was definitely one to do! I kept adding things to the bottom of the list but it was very satisfying crossing off the ones at the top. Now that I’m retired I often have plenty of time in the day and at times I’m really undisciplined- after forty years of pushing myself I reason that I’ve earned it! However, I recently learned about the ‘one minute rule’- if you can do something in less than a minute, do it now. It’s amazing how effective this is! It can be something as simple as putting away the folded washing, putting stuff in the recycling bin, tidying the bench top. Nothing earth shattering but very satisfying. Anyway, thanks Ali- love your work!😊

Can we all just take a moment and appreciate how well his videos are EDITED? I mean those subtle sound effects and animations? Bring that viewing experience to a whole new level 🚀

One more thing that's really good to do if you're a student or you are learning something new and use YouTube to learn some stuff is to have two YouTube accounts, one for studying and one for entertainment and stuff in your breaks.

I find it hugely beneficial because when I'm working I'm not distracted by sensationalist titles and thumbnail designed to divert attention onto non-work related things but when I'm not working I'm I'm on my time allocated to have a break and watch video such as this one it ensures it's a proper break entirely away from work related videos popping up in recommend.

Ali, I'm truly grateful for these videos. I am currently trying to implement these strategies and my favorite would probably be the 5 minute rule. I've probably heard it before, but I'm 100% sure that no one has simplified it to the level that you did. Thank you Ali!

Am I the only one thinking about how Ali actually calculated the exact minutes every tool saved him? 🙂

I love the positive energy that you have in your videos. You deconstruct complicated and simple concepts even further to make goals look more achievable. You also remind me of my brother who passed away in an accident in 2000. Your features are quite similar and you have that wonderful energy as well. He was one of the most wonderful human beings on earth. I am so glad you are here doing what you are doing;)

I’m sorry Ali, I’m a TV guy. My rule is: I never watch TV until 8 pm at night. During the day I can do all my work and exercise but at 8. It’s TV time. And it’s worked so far.

The concept of a rainbow calendar was an unexpected gem in this video. It not only organizes the day but also brings a visual joy to planning. I'm excited to implement this into my daily planning!

Thank you for being a role model! Such an old term lol. Your videos are helping me challenge myself with self-compassion which has been my late 2022 word. My word for 2023 is Practice! Thank you for sharing your experiences <3 There is a list of better habits I would have swapped for during university but it's okay I know now and make these changes slowly

I personally adore the art of film and watching movies and tv shows, even going to the cinema on my own from time to time is so fulfilling for me, I really miss it when I stop doing it - like going on runs, doing yoga, meeting friends, reading books, and all that influencer-kind-of-stuff, I personally also really value watching movies that I'm excited about. It is on the same level as reading for me. As long as you live intentionally, anything that makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone is okay and you should do it.

I am not really a time scheduler but I like starting new habits and can appreciate the tips you’ve provided,
I’ve been a fan of keeping my phone face down for a few years now or in more instances nowadays to even keep my phone in my purse or pocket, esp when with company or in social settings to be more present even if my social companions don’t reciprocate it.

The TV thing is so helpful, I only allow myself to watch TV on weekends, and basically what it does is when I feel like watching something is I go to Youtube, and I've curated my feed so it's all geography, math, and finance videos, so I can come out of it motivated and having learnt something.
