Wolverine- Is He Immortal?

Can Wolverine live forever if he’s not killed? It’s important to remember in Logan, where we see him die, his healing factor was slowed down by GMOs implanted by a company called Transigen.

So the question is, how long can he live with normal aging? Well first off, we know he has aged at the point we see him based on wrinkles alone. But what’s to say he ages to a certain point and then stops there? Well, in Days of Future Past which takes place in 2023, he is 191 and we see a patch of white hair.

Although he has barely aged, there are slow signs of it happening. So that means he could have lived a far longer life than what we see in Logan.

Based on his rate of aging, if you count 50 years for 1 human year, with that thinking he could live over 2000 years.

The Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine is older than the one we see in Days of Future Past and does not have a single strand of white hair. That might infer living in a normal Earth, not an apocalyptic one, can help him even live longer.

If left untouched, Logan could see 1000 years like biblical times. He could shake hands with thor when there's nobody left on earth.

"Aging is a sign of dying" that really hit home right there.

Well Wolverine confirmed himself to be 200 years old.

Also stress pays a major factor, your stress level can age your physical appearance, skin aging, hair color, etc.

He ages. But very very slowly. Wirhout adamantium he can surely live a thousand years or more.

One fact, people aren’t talking about is the adamantium aged him a ton. With just the bone claws he probably would’ve lived forever.

With no metal and no poison food

He can be in his mid 20s forever but those things degrade him slowly

The wolverine in the Deadpool movie states that he is over 200 years old so the Logan from Days of Future past is actually younger.

The portrait shot from X2 is probably my favorite shot.

D&W Wolverine claims to have lived for over 200 years, making him the oldest variant whose age we are aware of (Logan was previously the oldest at 197).

He is just like Banner, he can age but can't die as long as is healing factor do the work (for Banner as long as Hulk keep banner alive).
In old man Logan he is clearly old but he is still kicking ass.

For his look, he can be 200 years old but still look like he is 50 maybe his genes are just like Saiyans. His mutation keep him in shape despite his old age so he can keep fighting

In Old Man Logan, he's around 250-300 years old, give or take. And he's old, as the title implies. So even with his slow age progression due to his healing factor, he would at best live to around 400

You also gotta think, that in Logan e was suffering from Adamantium poisoning, which was taking a toll on his healing ability, without the Adamantium, yes theoretically he could live forever.

Definitely live longer with no Adamantium, apparently in the comics when Magneto rips it from Wolverine's bone structure, his factor kicked in hyperdrive and his senses were enhanced and his bone claws became longer and sharper

I always thought that the reason why logan had grey hair in DOFP was because this is the same logan from 'The Wolverine' film and his healing factor was messed with a little bit; both by the machine on his heart and when his healing factor was being drained from him after his fight with silver samurai.

D&W logan hasn't had any of those issues so should theoretically live longer since he has had no tampering with his abilities....well that's how I see it.
