I believe Wolverine said that being hit with a bomb isn’t the painful part. It’s when he is healing and all the nerves come back, then it hurts like no other until he fully heals

Wolvie's healing factor actually improved after Magneto pulled the adamantium from his bones, bro took a rocket launcher to the chest and woke up in a bar leveled to the ground.

Yeah magneto crossed the line with that trick, and everyone knew it. He had long held back from doing that to Logan.

Wolverine once had all his flesh burned off by the mutant Nitro. Leaving nothing but his admantium skeleton and his brain. But his healing factor still regrew all his internal organs and flesh.

Shield cut off Logan's head and put it in a pressurized box with no oxygen for several days (or was it hours?). He woke up and they discovered his healing factor isn't necessarily a "healing factor, " but a mutation that allows him to adapt to his environment to survive.

Decapitated, he only woke up because he began breathing through the pores of his skin, creating an artificial oxygen for his brain to turn back on. If there's no other option for survival in that moment, his body retreats to a state of hibernation until it's able to wake up and function again.

This is why he has the new heated claws too. When encased in the solid adamantium, his body adapted to help release him by superheated his claws to a point where he could literally melt the adamantium shell around his body and escape.

The man is literally unkillable.

Wolverine can also be permantly killed if his brain is destroyed or he's decapitated but that's going to be tough considering his spine and skull are both coated with an indestructible metal

You forgot to mention the muramasa blade... that nullifies his healing factor and could permanently kill Wolverine. He used it on Sabertooth when he decapitated him, seemingly actually killing him.. the reason of the effectiveness of the blade is because it was fused with a portion of Wolverine's soul and forged out of his rage. The blade is the only thing that could take him out for good

Im pretty sure he can die but if hes left in ANY state he COULD regenerate from he can return. If he drowns and dies, hes dead. But retrieve him from the water, and hell return. Shoot through the brain, hell die, but he'll return, given time.

Something I never hear mentioned is the fact that his nerve endings are very much functional. It's a miracle he hasn't gone insane from the sheer pain he gets put through.

Come to think of it, magneto taking the adamantium from wolverine's body just removes the one thing that allowed magneto to keep logan from lunging at him and giving him 600 new breathing holes

He also kept healing from the Phoenix Force trying to disintegrate him in the same way she dusted everyone else (in film)
