Allan Lichtman, renowned election forecaster known as the “Prediction Professor,” has made his prediction for the 2024 election. Lichtman, who has accurately predicted nearly every presidential election since 1984, suggests that Vice President Kamala Harris will emerge victorious.

Lichtman uses a formula called the “Keys to the White House” to base his predictions. As of the start of 2024, Harris holds six out of thirteen keys necessary for a win, including those related to the primary contest, short-term economy, long-term economy, policy change, no scandal, and no challenger charisma. Lichtman noted in an interview with News Nation that “a lot would have to go wrong for Harris to lose.”

Conversely, the Republicans hold three keys: winning the House majority in the 2022 midterms, the current incumbent not seeking re-election, and the current incumbent lacking charisma. Four keys remain undecided, including the third party factor influenced by Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as well as social unrest, foreign military failure, and foreign military success. According to Lichtman’s formula, Democrats would lose if they lose three more keys.

Wrong, he hasnt made a prediction yet. He said he'll make a prediction AFTER the democratic convention because it will tale either a third party candidate with at least 5 percent of vote, or social unrest to predict a definite loss for Democrats. He says it's unlikely but still possible and anything possible is not yet set in stone. Therefore, he still cant make a prediction.

Here’s another idea. Maybe this professor waits until the election is close to being decided based on polling and simply chooses the candidate who is most likely to secure swing states and get the most delegates. His predictions likely influence the election to a certain degree as well. There are a certain number if people who might not even cast a vote because they place too much emphasis on his predictions and assume they might as well not vote if he predicts their candidate wont win.

Why would 2 keys be awarded to Kamala for the economy? She is seen as part of Bidenomics which has failed given major inflation. Seems that the 2 keys for economy would be awarded to Trump based on previous economic success. Sounds like this professor will need to adjust his thinking.

I've gotten 10 out of 11 presidential elections right. Trump wins this one going away. Third-party candidate or no third party candidate. Harris is toast.
